Food really disappointing. Service awfully slow, unpleasant and not reliable. The boat is nice though. We were disappointed except for the boat and wonderful view.

Amazing trip on the Bateaux Really enjoyable dinner spread over the night, got there around 5.30pm, boat set sail @ 6pm & we got our first course around 6.15pm. Would recommend going on an empty stomach as with amuse bouche, palate cleansers & complimentary 4th of July muffins & a free bar was around 7courses. All very good. The bar... More

My husband and I just got back from our second trip to New York. We really wanted to experience views of the city at night from the water. We booked this cruise in hopes of just that. We were not disappointed! The views were beautiful!! What a relaxing, fun evening. The food was very good, the service friendly and fun,... More

I took my boyfriend on this cruise for his birthday and paid for a VIP package. The boat was very spacious and didn't have many people on it (went in March). Even though the boat and ride were nice, the food wasn't good. I was really disappointed by it. I actually spent a lot of money on the VIP package... More

This is such a mixed experience. My husband really wanted to do a dinner cruise and so I researched and picked Bateaux. We got the best of the best option - all inclusive, guaranteed window seat, etc. So ... I would not pay for a window seat. Everyone gets up to take pics from the decks anyway. If you drink... More

This is a great way to see many of the popular New York sites. The cruise included a 3 course lunch (spring salad with vinaigrette dressing, honey mustard glazed chicken, and cheesecake) and 1 alcoholic beverage for $119.00 per person. The food was delicious and the cruise was very enjoyable. The only complaint I have is that the service was... More

We went on a Dinner Cruise for our 25th Anniversary (and my Birthday). What can I say, such an awesome cruise, the weather was so great. The entertainment was super. We had a guaranteed window seat with perfect views. The best part is this ship has a glass roof so even if it rains, you are protected. There is also... More

I went to New York for 4 days this month and it was amazing! My partner had booked us on to the bateaux cruise on the 11th June which was my birthday so it was a lovely birthday treat. The food was beautiful and the service was great. The views were beautiful especially as the sun was setting .Just as... More

We were on the Bateaux Friday, 6/17, celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary. First off, parking was very easy at pier 61, even though there was a large prom event being held on the sister Spirit ship, and many events inside at at Chelsea Pier. We boarded at around 6:10, and were led to our window table for 2. We liked... More

We booked this dinner cruise for our 25th wedding anniversary with some trepidation as we were concerned it would be touristy and cheesy. It turned out to be a great experience. We purposefully did not tell them that it was our anniversary for fear we would end up being serenaded or made a spectacle of in some way. This turned... More

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
