Nice place to stop for a break in the Flatiron District but not worth a special trip. Not much to see here but a good place for a breather.

Nice park with plenty of trees and grass along with benches. It isn’t worth a separate trip, but worth a walk through and a few pics if you are in the area.

Strolling around the area, especially on a hot day, you will notice how demonstrably cooler this is here. The variety of gardens is something else, the Shake Shack blends in well. The Ghost Trees exhibit is haunting but beautiful simultaneously. Friendly dog park, cute squirrels, this is a small oasis

We stopped by this beautiful, calming space on each of the three days when we visited NYC. Its location close by the iconic Flatiron building made it a pleasant, attractive sanctuary from the surrounding city bustle. The lush foliage was eye-pleasing. On one visit we sat quietly and enjoyed live music by a jazz trio while sipping a delicious strawberry milkshake from nearby Shake Shack. On another occasion, we watched pets playing happily in the dog run while their proud owners looked on. The trees standing solemnly in one section, part of an art exhibit by Maya Lin of the DC Vietnam Memorial fame, provide a picture-perfect backdrop for posing with the majestic Empire State Building in the distance. It’s a beautiful park with many magical moments.

When it comes to parks in NYC, this is a top notch place to be. There were tulips planted throughout which is a beautiful touch. Very clean with a nice dog run. Plenty of seating and even a Shake Shack within. The statutes and fountain were my favorite parts.

Madison Square Park is a nice little oasis in the middle of Manhattan at a time when the City is going through so much. It has a nice little playground, walking paths, a fountain and the original Shake Shack to eat. There is lots to do in the park.

The architecture around the park is very impressive. This section of the City was built around the end of the 1890's to WWI. The buildings are very impressive. It is a nice place to just sit and relax and people watch.

It is a nice place to sit and relax.

Loved the Shake Shack just outside the hotel, very convenient & beautiful garden to just walk around & sit to drink your coffee, while watching the dogs in the doggy park!

We stumbled upon the park by sheer chance, after getting off the Hop On Hop Off bus stop by the Flatiron (directly opposite). It's a gorgeous little park, with plenty of benches and green spaces to relax on. Can highly recommend for a short sightseeing break.

Within the busy hustle and bustle we find a place to sit for a while on a “spring” like day in February 2020.
A sweet little park full of birds and squirrels going out their business. Well kept, clean, tidy and pleasant.
A very welcome rest for the tourist.

Madison Square Park is a good place to take a breath from a busy city. There is a place to get drinks and small bites, too. Not a very special park by itself, but the location makes it quite unique.
