Why best? Because it has a wood plank floor like a boardwalk. Just out into the Hudson River with a spectacular view. I envelope saw Tango dancers there as well as sun bathers. Easy to take the west side walk down to battery park or...More

Went here on a warm sunny day and this was an amazing spot to soak up the sun, take an iced coffe and see the view before continuing to explore the city. Will go back next time if weather is nice.

This is, along with Central Park, one of my favourite spots in NYC. Why? You can walk around, relax, and just let your thoughts wander...while enjoying the beautiful views...worth coming back again and again...

A well done new pier with a real wood Boardwalk, shade from trees and some awnings, and a beautiful grass area to sunbath. At the end of the pier is a canopy and a beautiful view of the Hudson and Hoboken.

I walked past here on a long walk down to Battery Park. There didn't seem to be much going on early Friday afternoon, but the place was clean and tidy and certainly some good views out over the river. Nothing particularly special but nice to...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you
