Had drinks in the Blue bar and found its garish blue lights distracting. We moved to the traditional Algonquin Lobby bar, former location of the legendary New Yorker Round Table. Wonderful traditional setting.Drinks were spot on.

The Place to go for an intimate evening with the one you love. Classy and subdued, Allowed our focus to be on one another. Service from an 'experienced' staff. Drinks were above the standard fare, even for five star establishments. Go ahead, Seal the Deal...More

The venerable Algonquin deserves a better bar with a nod to its celebrated history. I came here to get a proper Algonquin Cocktail, but the garish blue lighting made everything look unappetizing, unattractive, and unsettling - we got out ASAP. See photos.

Stopped in here during a shopping trip for a couple of cocktails. Was pretty empty in the early evening. Drinks were expensive and clearly watered down. Had minimal interaction with the server - he literally just brought us our drinks and disappeared. We paid our...More

This is the iconic New York that so many visitors
