Everytime we come to NYC-Lower Manhattan we love to visit the WFC and the Winter Garden.
We've been visiting it since before the 9-11 attacks. We enjoy the atmosphere which is now expanded since the rebuilt from the attacks.
Now they still have the Classic Palm Tree in the Enclosed Dome of the Structure.
Now since the rebuilt, it has expanded the shop and stores which is outstanding over the past.
There are quite a number of numerous restaurants and cuisines from dining to snacks on the run.
We are always amazed how wonderful the Palms appear to be kept up with in the enclosed building.
We love to just to sit and glaze at it. Yes, there is another look at night lit up. It has a atmosphere of activity and buss. Many people still working in those buildings crossing from one corridor to another.
One place I am personally attracted to is the Food Court where you can purchase as a meal or to take home.
Wandering around you should a lot time to investigate the area.

This is an impressive shopping center featuring a great range of high end shops and food and beverage outlets.
The atrium is very impressive - a high glass roof and full size palm trees.
The center was immaculately clean and opens out to a Marina and west side waterfront walkway.

Horribly damaged, just awful destruction took place here during the attack On the Twin Towers on 9/11/2001. The huge glass structure was blown to pieces.
The Atrium was masterfully rebuilt with 2,000 panes of glass and reopened in September, the following year at a cost of many millions.
The huge palm trees brought in greatly contribute to the exotic feel of the Atrium.
The Winter Garden serves as a venue for art exhibits, concerts and shows.
In the warm weather, there are restaurants all around that offer outdoor seating overlooking the riverside.

It's a beautiful place inside and outside. There's a outdoor Rink in winter. Have a nice walk along the river. Can see the Statue of Liberty. Food court, lots of choices. Shopping. Sit down and relax. This is different from other downtown places. Modern, convenient, and tranquil. Subway, boat and path nearby.

Visited here last month with a friend one evening. The building is beautiful if you like architecture and when there is an event on it is great. The building is connected to the PATH World Trade Center station and you can see One WTC Tower from the Winter Garden,.
Good for a quick visit if in the area.

When we come back to the city, I always enjoy seeing this grand structure restored to all it's glory after it has been shattered on 9/11. The Atrium looks really grand from the outside. It's soaring height, huge palms, massive staircase inside make it worth a visit. The views from the second floor are expansive.
If you are anywhere in the Financial Center or visiting WTC 1 make it a point to stop here. Take a break and walk around the river, take in the views of the yachts of the rich and famous in the North Cove Marina and the Statue of Liberty in the distance.
The Winter Garden in the Brookfield place is somewhat off the beaten path but a great place to visit ....

If you want to be impressed, you need to go see it! It's a high end shopping mall! It also has a huge area with a variety of restaurants . Everyone in our party found food they enjoyed! That and a drink, made for a great evening! Ice skating outside& it's on the water!

The Winter Garden is a wonderful space. If you get the chance,
please go and see a show there. They have done a great
renovation since I had last been there. The seats have good
leg room, unlike the older theaters. The chairs are comfortable
and in plush velvet. There really is no bad seat in this theater.
Only issue I had, the ladies room is in an awkward place.
The line forms in the back of the lower level, and those who
want to go outside during intermission have to go through
the line.

My friends and I met at the big steps in Brookfield Place, formerly called Winter Garden. It's a lovely quiet place to relax, with sky high palm trees and mixed marble floors. There are resraurants along the upper level. In winter, there's an iceskating rink outside. In summer, there is a tennis court there. You can reach it through the underground pass from the Oculus, or outside by passing the 9/11 memorial and then crossing West St. Take a stroll outside along the water in sunny weather.

Actually I just was doing some advance info about our trip to the Winter Garden and it reminded me that I use TripAdvisor all the time for research and "virtual travel" but I don't know how (of if) there is a button or other easy way to save a great review (like a wish list) to start to build a personal itinerary for our upcoming trips.
Thanks in advance!
