We were fortunate enough to see Branford Marsalis Quartet and guest Kurt Elling. Wow, what a night of great jazz. The venue is HUGE so if possible try for seating nearest to the stage if available. Acoustics behind the performers could have been improved but still acceptable.

Thank you for your review! We're glad that you enjoyed your experience this weekend. That concert was in the largest of our three venues - if you are looking to see a Jazz at Lincoln Center show in a smaller venue, check out The Appel Room or Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola. We hope you can join us again soon! More

As a subscriber, I go here often. If you can get tickets to a concert in either the Rose Theater or the Appel Room, go!

What a beautiful performance space! The Rose theatre is stunning with very comfortable seats, terrific acoustics and great sight lines. The view from the atrium reminds one why this is a great city. Parking across the street, shops in the same complex, restaurants both in the building and certainly plentiful in the neighborhood. The vibe is electric...very New York.

In the atrium on a Thursday night there is an eclectic range of options. Give it a try. We enjoyed a drag queen Christmas show

Thank you for your review. However, I believe you may have meant to review Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, which operates the David Rubenstein Atrium. The Jazz at Lincoln Center venues are located just a few blocks south at Columbus Circle. We hope you can visit us the next time you're in NYC! More

Do not miss this space on your NYC visit. The space is beautiful overlooking central park! The restaurant serves good food and the waitresses are very friendly!

This is a small theatre which did very well for the New York City Opera's production of Candide. The production had its moments, and several of the voices were very good, but on the whole I think the director camped things up too much. That does not detract from the space, however, which boasts excellent sight lines and good legroom.

I recently spent two months working in NYC and I had the opportunity to see four different shows here. Both venues are outstanding!

We saw the big band holiday show at the Rose Theater and it was wonderful. The band was fantastic, the seats were amazing (I don't think there is a bad seat in the house). I would go to NYC again next December just to see this show.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
