To teach anything you need to be able to 1)fully understand the concepts and 2) be able to clearly and concisely explain what you know. It's easier said than done but JP Teaches Photo nailed it. My instructor was Lydia for both Part 1 and Part 2. She was able to build a foundation by explaining the science behind photography while being able to easily translate these concepts in her teachings. Highly recommend this class to anyone starting out or even intermediate enthusiasts. The reviews don't lie.

I've taken part 1 and part 2. Both were amazing beyond my wildest expectations. Part one was so informative even on it's own and part 2 gave me a wealth of additional photography information. Perhaps, the most unique thing of these classes is the immersive teaching style. This is not a dry and technical memorization class. The class time passes by quickly as you soak up fascinating and useful information, and you will feel much more confident with your camera immediately after the first class. It is well worth the price! Also, JP is an amazing teacher. I've never taken a class with Lydia but rumor has it, she is an amazing teacher as well!

I had a great experience. I learned more to shoot better photos than just choosing the auto option. Thanks JP and Lydia

This is in reference to Part I class. This is a great beginner class to help you learn the main functions of your camera. It does not matter which brand camera you have, because it is about the fundamentals of photography, not the buttons per say. It is very appropriately paced, and the concepts are demonstrated clearly. You will leave the class with a better idea of why your photos look a certain way, and how you might be able to tweak them. I signed up for Part II on the spot, and will be taking Part III also.
