Long-Running Show

This play has been around for decades. See it for the special effeccts and the music as the story line is weak.

My boyfriend and I were lucky and got tickets in first row at half prize (we bought them in TKTS in Times Square). At the beginning we thought that maybe it was to close but finally we loved the seat. The voices or the singers are magnificent and the whole show is beautiful. I can not compare it with any... We were lucky enough to see this on Sierra Boggess' opening night. Ab-so-lute-ly outstanding! Everything a musical should be - fantastic vocals, wonderful music, stunning costumes, great sets, good story and.....need I say more? This is a must see - no wonder it is the longest running show on Broadway!

I went to see this show with my husband (then fiance) and we totally loved this show. The theatrics, the music and the storyline make this show a must watch. Late review: we saw this show in Feb 2011

Breathtaking, heart stopping. Absolutely a fantastic opera. Fabulous cast and an absolute memorable experience. Stunning. An experience of a lifetime.

Have seen Phantom of the Opera twice in London but still loved the New York experience and the performers were great. Theatre was lovely too.

This was my second time seeing Phantom. If you haven't see this show then you really need to. There are a lot of others but this is the one that everyone has to go to. The cast right now is really impressive, the Phantom had an amazing voice. How do you talk about this play? It is a masterpiece filled... More

I managed to get 40% off same-day tickets at TKTS and compared to Mamma Mia and Chicago, Phantom was alot better value for money. The set was amazing, there was fire, smoke and obviously the crashing chandelier. The cast did more than justice to Andrew Lloyd Webber's great music and the current Phantom is particularly good.

If you want to see one play to represent Broadway in NYC, it would be this one. It has everything, from talented actors, to elaborate sets, to a compelling and unforgettable story.

What drama! What spectacle! The music stays with you for weeks. While not my favorite play, it ranks up there with the best. The special effects amaze and the theatre affords everyone a good view. I just didn't like the proximity of the seats; too close.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
