The guide was Eric and the kayaking was for 1 hour, with only 5 kayakers 1st he when through how to use the paddles correctly in water. We start in the water around the aircraft carrier for about 15 minutes to get the feel of the kayak. Then we had a full hour on the Hudson river, which you get... More

My partner and I were fortunate enough to be able to take the afternoon tour with MKC to paddle the 5 hour round trip journey to Lady Liberty and back. A very memorable and unique experience that we will not forget in a hurry. We left on the dot at 12:30pm and arrived back at 5:30pm The team at MKC... More

The teacher was so attentive and patient and giving. We had a great time! We loved seeing the skyline of Manhattan and being out on the water.

Not something you would normally associate with NY but worth a walk down to pier 84 for a kayaking session. Eric and the team were very helpful and even had a chance to catch up on Euro 2016 👍🏻 My wife and I have our basic kayaking certs so no issues paddling round the pier. Well done and very reasonably... More

I'm more of an outdoors guy than city explorer when on vacation, so when planning a trip with my girlfriend to visit her parents in NY, I knew as a long-time paddler that I had to kayak on the Hudson River from mid-town Manhattan around the Statue of Liberty and back (without GF). My expectations may have been unrealistically high,... More

I watched the sun go down and city lights come on in the Gotham Lights and NY After Dark tours. Great sunset views over the water. Friendly staff and home of the Atlantic Supergirls, who stand up paddle boarded from NYC to Miami (1,500 miles).

This was awesome! Absolutely loved it and was great way to see the city! Even a little arm work out for you! It's best to take spare clothes as you will get a little wet (especially if you fall out the boat) the views were awesome! We did this in the morning so we had time to do other things... More

This place is easy to get to and is the very best way to enjoy NYC from the water. You start out in the bay surrounding the USS Intrepid so you get your bearings in calmer water before heading out onto the main river. The guide (Eric) was incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful to the less-experienced of our 8-person group.... More

Myself and my 8 yr old son went on this tour. We turned up early and one of the guides, Jay, made us feel really welcome. My son was nervous as he hadn't kayaked for a couple of years and the last time he kayaked he freaked out a little. Jay suggested we practice a little in the water to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
