What's not to love? My daughter and I were passing time waiting for a table at Serendipity 3, located just down the block. The store is huge and filled with all sorts of sweet treats, from your average grocery store find to unique indulgences. We had a blast!

I'll admit I have resisted going here when I visited NYC. Seemed too touristy. I was wrong. My 15 year old son wanted to go but I ended up having a blast here! So colorful and fun. The candy choices.. so many! Definitely stop by here!

You really have to see Dylan's to believe it - never have I seen such a selection of candy - everything I remember as a kid and all my grandkids favorites! My grandson got a small jar with his name on it and filled it with a variety of treats. My granddaughter thought she was in heaven! I got cinnamon... More

For kids and teens mostly. However the menu also has savouries and surprisingly very good. Had tiny meatballs in tomato sauce and it was really good! Pizza's for kids ok and turkey burger in a pretzel bun was good too. Not expensive to dine. More an attraction for kids.

We came to Dylan's because it's on everyone's list of places to go with kids and my nieces were SO excited. Because it's Dylan Lauren's place I expected the place to be immaculate like her father's stores but it was not at all. The café was very cute in theory with Willy Wonka playing and the cupcake tables but my... More

This is a great place to visit with or without children. It is located near Bloomingdales so can't be missed. I have been every time I have been to nyc and each time I visit I love the store. It seeks all kinds of sweets from old to new, loose and packaged as well as themed sweets. They also sell... More

If you have kids or have a sweet tooth, it's worth the stop, but not a "must see" like FAO Swartz may have been when it was open. The real candy in the floor as decor was enough to send my son into a fit of "Ellen dancing" through the 3 floors of candy heaven! It is definitely crowded, so... More

Did a lot of browsing in the store sections (basement and ground floor) then afterwards went upstairs to the restaurant for a snack, dessert and drinks as a treat. We shared a pizza flatbread and an ice cream which were both lovely. My son had an amazing milkshake and I indulged in an adult strawberry soda which was a masterpiece... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
