The thing that makes Dylan's a unique experience is not just the candy. In fact one might argue that other than a few of their house brand treats, Dylan's doesn't offer anything you can't find in other shops. The nice thing about Dylan's is that it offers a fairly big variety of candy, in a really nice environment, all in... More

Forget the big chocolate shops in Times Square, if you want something similar but with a more choice and less corporatised image then I would suggest getting along to Dylan's. The prices seemed reasonable enough.

We didn't really know what to expect from this store but I love gummies and thought a visit had to be on the cards. Almost immediately on walking in a store assistant approached us and asked if she could help. She wasn't pressuring at all, just helpful, we said we were just looking, she asked what sort of sweets we... More

Literally contains all the best candy. It's a fun place to visit. You can easily get carried away with buying lots of candy with a big price tag!

This is just a candy store for kids. Nothing special. It was a dream come true for my 8 year old, but I didn't find anything impressive or unique. Don't go here looking for any good quality chocolate.... it's just regular candy.

Dylan's is a worthy detour for any Manhattan visitor. Where else will you find a 3 story candy store! Much of their floor space is set up for patrons to fill bags with a wide variety of bulk candies. It's so easy to over-indulge. The downstairs has more of the regular branded candy as well as souvenirs. And there's a... More

This store feels like you have been dropped onto the set of Willie Wonka and it is fun and colorful with a wonderful choice of candy. We went to try and have an ice cream upstairs and were met by a very surly hostess who said there would be a two hour wait for a table despite the restaurant being... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
