wonderful tour guide in robert and a fun very informative day! The church service was quite special.

would have also liked a stop at the appollo theater rather than a drive by. lunch was delicious but the long buffet line made it feel rushed when we finally sat down with the food.

The harlem gospel tour was well worth the money. We had an excellent tour guide who was very knowledgable. The church service we attended was very uplifting and we were pleased to have been able to be a part of it.

We took the Tour and Church Service which cost $59. The tour of Harlem was good, but we were really more interested in the church service. The service was obviously set up for the tourists as it was a ragtag choir with people coming and going all the time, no great music, no service to speak of, but when it... More

We were born & raised in Yonkers yet did not know most of the background Robert told us on our tour of Harlem. Our guide was well educated and informed about local history, geography, folklore and current and past facts of the area the bus took us through. Right from Mid-Manhattan, through Hell's-Kitchen, up to and including Harlem he uncovered... More

We joined the Wednesday tour, the tour was a good one the problem was to set your expectations. We though we are going to walk Harlem streets and then join a service. The tour is a bus tour where they point the NYC main monuments, then we attended the gospel query which on Wednesdays is for tourists and that is... More

The tour was ok and the guide was also genuine and knowledgeable, however we did not get to stay for the church service and while the church was definitely gospel, it was very small, hence it left something to be desired. Additionally, the Cotton Club was a joke and it is not the original Cotton Club. Again, it was ok... More

Harlem Spirituals offers numerous tours. My group decided to go on the Jazz Tour through Harlem. We choose this tour because we wanted a fun night out for our employees and that is exactly what we got! We all meet in front of Harlem Spirituals headquarters and from there got on the bus. The bus was beyond what I was... More

Had a wonderful time on the Harlem Spirituals tour, when my folks came over from Italy in August. Originally we had booked the tour for the weekend of Hurricane Irene. The people at Harlem Spirituals were great in re-scheduling our tour. My parents didn't know what to expect, and neither did my kids, since I typically would have taken them... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
