Today, Circle Line is the only cruise line dedicated exclusively to sightseeing, with vessels made of steel and over-sized glass windows that offer magnificent views of the Manhattan skyline, all year round. Owned and operated by New York Cruise Lines Inc., New York's oldest and largest provider of scheduled and chartered sightseeing and special event cruises, Circle Line is recognized as one of the most famous boat rides in the world.

Sightseeing Tour Options:

All Circle Line vessels offer first-class service, the best viewing opportunities and an entertaining, informative tour given by professional guides.

Best of NYC Cruise - Take in over 101 city sights by water, including the Intrepid, Yankee Stadium, the Cloisters and a magnificent close-up of the Statue of Liberty.

Landmark Cruise- Witness magnificent views of the world's premier skyline and such sights as the Empire State Building, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

Liberty Cruise - The fastest and best way to see the Statue of Liberty! Sail down the Hudson River to the Statue of Liberty and back, and view Ellis Island, the rising Freedom Tower and the World Financial Center, along the way.

Harbor Lights Cruise - For something a bit more romantic, sail the same route as the Landmark Cruise while the sun sets and the skyline comes alive.

The Beast Speedboat Ride - The Beast leaves all others in its wake as the Captain takes this custom-built 70-foot offshore racing powerboat up to 45 mph on a ride down to the Statue of Liberty.

Circle Line looks forward to introducing you to New York.

We went on the statue of liberty cruise. We upgraded to the premium experience. Which was worth it for the comfy seats at the back and clear views of the statue. We would love to do the full 2.5hr cruise next time we visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed this 2.5hr cruise around Manhattan. I sat undercover on the top deck which gave great views with plenty of fresh air. The commentary provided by John (in his smooth radio announcer voice) was extremely informative and interesting. The boat is spacious with adequate opportunities to take photos. The cruise passes close by the Statue of Liberty and many... More

A wonderful way to see the city and learn - actually quite a lot - about its history. We took the 'Best of NYC' tour, 2,5 hrs with a great guide, definitely worth their money

We risked taking a ferry tour in November because you never know what weather you are gonna get in NYC but it wound up being a beautiful day. I wish I could tell you the gentleman that was our MC for the trip because he has lived in NYC for 40 years and new EVERYTHING about the city. The trip... More

We opted for the three hour cruise along the river. It's a great way to see the city and hear some of the history about various places and parts you see, the captain on our boat was very informative and knowledgable, making it a great experience. Not overly expensive either for the time and knowledge you gain. I would highly... More

We did not expect to enjoy this boat tour half as much as we did! We knew we were going to see some great views of the city, but the tour guide on board really helped make this trip all the more enjoyable. I can't for the life of me remember what his name was (apologies Mr Tour Guide), but... More

Getting off the island and onto the river is a fantastic way to see NYC close up from a totally new vantage point. Lots of different options that include food and drinks if desired. Close up views or visiting of the Statue of Liberty are a must if you have the time during your visit.

It was our first time visiting NYC and with only five days in the city there was lots to do and see. We chose the Circle Line Cruises which was recommended to us by the Lotte New York Palace Hotel during our stay. We chose The Best of NYC cruise as we got to see all the main attractions the... How informative and interesting can a boat ride around Manhattan really be? You have no idea!! First we were lucky enough in mid-November to catch a sunny and somewhat warm afternoon for the 2.5 hour "full" island tour. I would not recommended it if it's really cold, because you'll freeze with the outdoor seating (there is limited indoor seating). And... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
