Today, Circle Line is the only cruise line dedicated exclusively to sightseeing, with vessels made of steel and over-sized glass windows that offer magnificent views of the Manhattan skyline, all year round. Owned and operated by New York Cruise Lines Inc., New York's oldest and largest provider of scheduled and chartered sightseeing and special event cruises, Circle Line is recognized as one of the most famous boat rides in the world.

Sightseeing Tour Options:

All Circle Line vessels offer first-class service, the best viewing opportunities and an entertaining, informative tour given by professional guides.

Best of NYC Cruise - Take in over 101 city sights by water, including the Intrepid, Yankee Stadium, the Cloisters and a magnificent close-up of the Statue of Liberty.

Landmark Cruise- Witness magnificent views of the world's premier skyline and such sights as the Empire State Building, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

Liberty Cruise - The fastest and best way to see the Statue of Liberty! Sail down the Hudson River to the Statue of Liberty and back, and view Ellis Island, the rising Freedom Tower and the World Financial Center, along the way.

Harbor Lights Cruise - For something a bit more romantic, sail the same route as the Landmark Cruise while the sun sets and the skyline comes alive.

The Beast Speedboat Ride - The Beast leaves all others in its wake as the Captain takes this custom-built 70-foot offshore racing powerboat up to 45 mph on a ride down to the Statue of Liberty.

Circle Line looks forward to introducing you to New York.

We took the cruise which circled the whole island, about 2.5 hours. We had an explorer pass and booked our tickets at the ticket office at 9am (no queue) and then returned at 11am to board. We were able to walk part of the highline in this time. Its first on best seats and we sat in the open upstairs... More

This is a 2 and 1/2 hour cruise that goes all the way round the island of Manhattan, weather permitting. It's a great way to see some of the main attractions - Statue of Liberty, One World Observatory etc - plus a lot of the lesser known ones, and offers a different perspective. The tour guide on our boat, David,... More

This was a present for my husband on his first visit to New York so that he could see and learn as much as possible about New York in the shortest time because it was literally a flying visit. The guide was amazing with so much information and knowledge about absolutely everything and although it was freezing cold day the... More

Our Tour guide John was fantastic, very knowledgeable! We booked the premium seats, I am glad we did as my husband wasn't feeling very well so he was able to sit in comfort. Fantastic views of great landmarks. I would highly recommend you do this cruise, it is value for money.

We took 'the best of New York city' cruise (2.5hrs) and enjoyed it very much. Our tour guide John Mason was educating and humorous. During the cruise we went up close to the Statue of Liberty with the boat slowing and rotating to allow ample time to take photos.

Remeter that they are just selling a boat trip. If the weather becomes foggy after leaving. They are not responsible. If you find a cheaper cruise take it. BR Andreas

We have gone by the Statue of Liberty in cruise ships leaving NYC, but wanted to get up a little closer - without doing the land tour. This was a great choice, offering a wonderful close-up view of the statue AND a fantastic close-up view of NYC from the water. The wait in line was too bad, maybe 15 minutes.... More

Tip: Book a trip in advance or find out the schedule, then arrive early in order to get a seat. In winter wrap up warm.... seriously! We took the 1hrs 30 minute landmark cruise and to be honest it was just enough. Any longer and it would have been too much. It reminded me a little like the Liverpool Mersey... More

We booked our tickets on line and it was only when we got the confirmation email that we were instructed to print our tickets. We did not have any facilities to print, but fortunately I went to the ticket office to explain and they kindly printed them for me. We took the 2.5 hour trip around the island. It was... More

We recently went on the Landmark Tour with City Circle (end of December). Firstly, the bad experience: we had a City Pass which made no difference when getting our tickets. We arrived 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time thinking this would be ample to be able to line up with our City passes and then get on board... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
