It is a small park, but the environment for each animal is well depicted and they seem happy here. Unlike the cartoon (Madagascar) there are no lions or giraffes here (perhaps they ran away on a boat...), but the penguins are here, and they are...More

I loved this place, perhaps partly because of where it's located The bird house which you walk through is simply amazing with all the birds flying around you This is a definite must if you visit NY

Nice small zoo located in Central Park. Great for pre-school children as I took mine here for a morning walk around. Also has a 4-D show which was good.

This is not the Columbus Zoo. Let's get that out of the way. It IS a nice, compact zoo that would be great if you have a couple hours to burn with your kids on a nice day in Manhattan. It is super-convenient with a...More

A great place to bring young children to learn about wild life and its habitats. It is a small zoo - may required 2-3 hours to walked through. The best part is its location - in midtown-Manhattan. You can get there by train or bus.

Well worth a few hours visit. Situated in Central Park so easy to access. Small in size but interesting animals on display and the lots of tropical birds singing in a tranquil environment within a hectic city. Would be good for all ages.
