Zoo is only small but they use the space well. Zoo was well laid out. Highlights were the grizzly bears who were quite active especially bearing in mind the heat and the sea lions who were performing for the crowds despite it not being showtime. We just paid for general admission as we weren't intetested in the children's zoo as... More

The zoo was very small, the animals looked fed up, however it was pleasant enough. The gift shop was a disappointment, I would have thought they could have done a lot more with their merchandise especially around the Madagascar theme given the animals are from Central Park. I was hoping to buy my nephew a great Central Park souvenir, but... More

Although there are some entertaining animals, Brooklyn Zoo is far bigger with more animals that have more space, so in my view are better looked after. Central Park Zoo has sea lions and the shows are quite entertainig but the main attraction we saw was the two polar bears. One of the Polar bears looked very distressed and was showing... More

A sweet little zoo showcasing a few endangered species such as red pandas, snow leopards (wow!) Nice old architecture and landscaping. Very well kept.

After many visits to New York, we finally had a chance to visit. It was well worth the minimal entry fee, and one of the highlights was being able to feed some of the animals. The exhibits had plenty of different vantage points to view the animals and no spot was overly crowded.

We live in NYC and are members of the Central Park Zoo. The zoo is the perfect size for the little one's (age 3 & 4) and they love going. At the petting zoo the kids can feed the sheep and goats from 10am - 2pm. The main zoo has snow leopards, penguins, sea lions, a tropic zone (birds, bats,... More

Went to the zoo and was impressed by how well laid out it was and the thought that had gone into every exhibit. The zoo was incredibly child friendly and well worth the $12 entry fee. Would recommend.

At just $12 each to enter well worth a visit. Beautiful zoo happy animals in as near natural surroundings. Lovely petting zoo for small children too. Only small but a nice break from the hustle of the city.

We went to the Central Park Zoo for the first time and really enjoyed it. A lot of animals to see and very clean. Our two teenage children went and also had a great time. Would highly recommend seeing the 4-d movie they offer while you are there. It costs a little more money with your ticket, but definitely worth... More
