We were in Hoboken

We were in Hoboken sitting by the Hudson over looking the NYC skyline. Have drinks, pizza, lobster rolls, all kinds of food. Had a lovely day with great weather.

Hmm why did I say that? The best view of NYC is from NJ Gold Coast. I have some photos posted from Lady Liberty and from one the Manhattan Sailing Cubs sailboats Faith a river view. A national treasure and a must see for all.

Take a cruise, take the free Staten Island ferry or cross over to Jersey City to get the best views (and pics) of Manhattan.

I've seen a lot of skylines, but this would probably be my favorite. One world tower soars over everything else, which is great due to what it stands for

Best viewed from the river, an amazing view that will take your breath away. We saw it on a day with low mist and it looked spooky and mystic you can view it all while on your way to see the Statue of Liberty!

Slow down...take some moments to look beyond the intial mental photo of what is seen when seeing the Manhattan Skyline...probably the best location for us was on the New York Water Yellow Taxi...from many different angles while hearing the host share many stories about the beginning of NYC till today. When looking at the many structures found it quite interesting... More

The New York City skyline is spectacular from almost any vantage point. As a native New Yorker who returns three or four times a year, here are my favorite vantage points: from the promenade at the base of Montague Street in Brooklyn, from the 58 th street pier in Brooklyn, and from the BQE at the Koskiosko approach.

Pictures of it are gorgeous. Seeing it live and in person is indescribably better. Beautiful during the day. Sparkly at nighttime. Gorgeous from any vantage point.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
