This skyline just shouted Big City. Saw it coming in from the New Jersey turnpike and also from the Brooklyn bridge.

Day or night, the only place to go and really appreciate the magnificent view of the Manhattan skyline is from Weehawken, New Jersey. Walk, jog, or bicycle along the footpath near the Sheridan Lincoln Harbor Hotel or The Chart House Restaurant both in Weehawken and it will NOT disappoint! Bring your camera and stand back! It is breathtaking! My son... More

The famous skyline stood up to its name! Its worth the travel and getting lost finding it :) Also, try to get your photos in the early daylight and also at dusk.

This just blows your mind. We appreciate this best from Brooklyn Height promonade. You can see the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan behind it. You can also appreciate this when walking across Brooklyn Bridge back towards Manhattan.

We viewed the skyline at day and night and I would 10000% recommend the night! Views are incredible - I have great pictures and will no doubt use one for my own canvas.

If you want to get the best view of Manhattan, get on a Staten Island Ferry which is free and certainly gives you the best Manhattan skyline views.. never have to wait long to get on as there's a ferry every half hour. Day or night are great but night time is not to be missed!!

Feel a traitor saying this seen as I'm from Liverpool but the New York skyline beats any I've ever seen. You see it in so many tv shows and movies but that simply doesn't compare to seeing it in real life.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
