Never seen the skyline from the harbor before, and it was quite a sight. The Freedom Tower is one to behold especially. Fantastic view from the ferries and Lady Liberty.

It is interesting to see the skyline but it is better to actually experience the city. So many buildings and people it is really a thriving city! Seeing the skyline really puts it into perspective how large the Big Apple is!

From any angle and any view the Manhattan skyline is a look for. Yu can be on 59th street and Central Park... look up to see between the buildings at the sun setting.

The Manhattan New York skyline is just awesome. We had brilliant views from various places in the city including stunning views from our room on 32nd floor of the Intercontinental Times Square. But the best views were from the top of the Empire State Building, just incredible.

We were lucky that we were on the Statue of Liberty and we got a great view on a nice clear day. We also went on a harbour cruise at night where we got another great view.

There are countless pics of the Manhattan skyline but one that is not so well known is actually from the Jersey side of the island. Most likely, NJ is NOT on the hot spot list of the NYC visitor map. It is the "boring" nicknamed Garden State neighbor of the more vibrant Manhattan and not a place to be, as... More

I had a chance to see this lovely skyline from many angles, including from Liberty State Park, NJ. The view keeps changing during the day and presents excellent opportunity for photographers.

Drove into Manhattan from the Lincoln tunnel and saw the WTC tower. It was a foggy day and it disappeared into the clouds halfway up. The day cleared up and drove out of on the Williamsburg bridge. Phenomenal night time skyline that rivals anything else in the world.

for a reason! Energetic. Don't believe what you hear, not all New Yorkers are brusque and rude. We met some of the most pleasant and friendly folks in the Upper West Side.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
