The skyline gives you the real feel of NY, we saw it from the Ferry going to and from Ellis Island, walking back across Brooklyn Bridge and from the Water Taxi. Seeing the skyline really makes you realise how the area has developed and how much there is to see and do.

This speaks for itself. The Manhattan skyline is awesome, breathtaking, and although you feel a familiarity through numerous movies, nothing beats seeing it in reality. Whether you take a trip to Hoboken and view it from the Jersey Shore or by boat from the Hudson and East rivers, the skyline truly stops you in your tracks. If you have the... More

The classical view of Manhattan is there for you. You have seen this landscape hundreds or thousands of times but not on "air". It´s wonderful and superb. Take your camera and ready, steady, go...

From so many angles and locations (Highline, Empire State Bldg, Top of the Rock, Hudson Hotel rooftop terrace, etc), and the views of the city are spectacular!

Saw the skyline from the top of the Empire State building at at Rockefeller Square but go the best views from just across in Jersey City boardwalk and on the ferry to Liberty Island.

This is the best way to contemplate the city of Manhattan, New York. A beautiful city with the rivers, buildings. The atmosphere was great, it will be better if you should go at the late afternoon or at night!

The Manhattan Skyline is a living dream: part and parcel of an ever-expanding reality constructed by engineers and architects, visionaries who have propelled a once ground-bound humanity to the far reaches of imagined possibility. These towers of Manhattan are the towers which stand, built to endure the vicissitudes of time. They are living testaments to the gusto of the American... More

You can't go to NYC and not get a picture of its iconic skyline. The best way to do it (in my opinion) it to jump on the Staten Island Ferry. It's free, and it'll give to the chance to get the perfect picture!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
