Amazing views!

Incredible views and definitely something you have to do if you're in NewYork on holiday! I think it's probably a one time thing but still an incredible building!

It's not were the most New Yorkers live, it's not even the biggest part of the city, it's not a city at all ... it's the neighbourhood of the world (and it's biggest scar since 9/11). The fluidity of the ever changing skyline is a promise of progress ... even in bleak times where progress seems just to much to... More

The NY skyline is great especially when seen from either the Manhattan bridge or the Brooklyn Bridge.

The view of the Manhattan skyline just never gets old and is always fun to look at. From afar you get a totally different view of the city, and it looks like a huge giant from up in the heavens was playing with lego blocks. Amazing.

Take a bus tour to Brooklyn at night to see the famous view of Downtown Manhattan at night. Glitters like many jewels. I would hate to live here but it was good to see it. Took 1 and a half hours.

Best views of the Manhattan Skyline are from either Top of the Rock,or from over the Brooklyn Bridge.Get the subway downtown to the Brooklyn Bridge and walk over about a quarter of the way. There you can find a great view back towards Manhattan. Also cheaper souvenirs are to be found at the start of the bridgewalk, like pictures for 4 $,new york... From the Staten Island ferry, or the Brooklyn Bridge, or New Jersey, The Manhattan skyline has many perspectives and many building, bridges and islands to view. If packing allows, a small pair of binoculars would be extremely handy to allow to for closeup views of architectural details and styles.

This is one of the most iconic skylines in the world and is worth the view. Can be seen from all areas outside Manhatten There are great views from some of the taller buildings like the Empire State Building.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
