Address
Neighborhood: Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.

This was the first time I had ever walked into a David’s Teas, this one in the Greenwich Village area of Manhattan. My friend and I had already visited a number of shops in the area and found them very pricey. I was expecting the same of David’s Teas. I was pleasantly surprised to find them competitive and affordable. Despite the enormous selection of teas in canisters that line the long wall behind the counter, I chose an iced tea of the day, a red, light (unsweetened, with zero calories), fruity concoction that was both delicious and refreshing. The staff was friendly, pleasant and helpful. I would go back if I were in the area.

I have worked in the Tea industry for years, so had to visit here to check out the competition.
In fairness, I thought that there were some decent teas and blends on offer, but it’s the presentation, rather than the actual product which contributes to the experience (and the prices).

We went to Davids tea to buy some good tea. It is so full of varieties of tea and it became very difficult for us to choose. But we can always choose what we want and also taste before buying. We are given sample tea and also newly introduced tea.

beautiful products, lovely design and very good prices. I bought the pepermint tea (amazing) and a tea pot, and 4 cups. Loved all of it. A must sea store if you like design and teas.

I visited this store after going on one of Scott's Pizza Tours in Greenwich Village. I don't normally drink tea, much less loose leaf tea as I am a coffee drinker mainly, but I loved the layout and the variety of tea available. Having tasters was a really good idea, and I bought the Oh Canada gift set with 3 different maple teas (I'm currently drinking a lovely cup of Oh Canada tea!). I also got one of the mugs with infuser and lid, and am still pondering what to draw on it!
If you're in Greenwich Village and want some lovely tea, visit Davids Tea. The staff were very helpful and lovely and the tea is great.

We visited the David's Tea on 6 th ave. The staff was friendly and helpful without being pushy. There are so many varieties, it was hard to choose! I am a coffee drinker and I loved all the tea I sampled. I will definetly return!

Not only do they have a great selection of teas (variety and flavor) but the people who work there are so nice! All 3 locations in New York have a great team working the counter, knowledgable and friendly. I am in there a few times a month for myself and for gifts.
