Great night

Food was really good (but be careful it's spicy), the room was good and the band (Big Band Mingus) was amazing !! Waitresses were really nice and we enjoyed a great night !

The menu is varied, and everything we tried was delicious. The atmosphere was exactly what we needed on our first night in NYC. Intimate, classy, cultured. The music was inspiring as well. Definitely recommended if you're a jazz lover. Even if you aren't, this restaurant might turn you into one.

I love jazz music but I'd never listened to it live. Hubby and I haven't went out on a date in a few months with work and the kids so yesterday he called me and said find a sitter we're going out tonight. We hopped in the car...drove into the city and pulled up to the Jazz Standard! The live... More

We always wanted to go to a jazz club and after searching we found jazz standard. We were a bit late as the show had started at 9.30 but we were told they were only half was through the set so we said ok well go in. In fact the show was almost finished ....we only got to hear 3... More

We had another incredible evening at Jazz Standard where we were lucky to see and hear Tierney Sutton and her band. What amazing talented musicians and the space is so intimate and cozy! They serve generous drinks for a reasonable price and if you are interested, delicious food from their associated restaurant. Overall a great place to enjoy an evening... More

The Standard programs a mix of performances that includes the Latin Jazz innovators Alfredo Rodriguez, Dafnis Prieto, and Guillermo Klein and their bands, as well as the new music big band of Darcy James Argue and Secret Society, some of the best concerts I heard this year and last. There were some surprises too--Luis Perdomo and his Controlling Ear Unit,... More

I'm not, as a rule, a fan of the music supper club - the music is for listening to, not eating to. Blue Smoke/Jazz Standard however, is the exception. The tables are well spaced (unlike the wretched Blue Note); the food is excellent (barbeque from Blue Smoke upstairs, with an astounding 3 courses for $45 deal); great and attentive service,... This is a great bar situated on 116 East 27th Street NY - there's a lane way immediately behind The Park South Hotel 124 E28th St if you have difficulty locating it. There's a bar serving food ( we didn't eat here) and drinks (free re-fill on soft drinks) at ground level where the staff were always really friendly, helpful... More

We went to see Matt Wilson and Big Happy Family with our teenagers. The show was great of course. We were planning on having dinner after but saw the menu and gave it a try and the food was excellent! Lovely surprise.
