I could not imagine being a kid in this place. I'd go nuts! Christmas shopping at TRU in Times Square, bananas. Really neat to see in person. I personally headed for the Hot Wheels section, but looking through the whole store, WOW! I'd love to see my grandson's reaction in there.

Prices were very cheap here at Toys R Us in Times Square. You’d expect it to be a little pricier because of their large rent bill but quite contrary. It could have been that the prices were so low because it was nearing Christmas or there are rumors that they will be out of business soon which is a shame!... More

Great experience to visit this famous toy store. Unfortunately, it will be no longer at Times Square as of December 31st, 2015.

So glad we got to walk through Toys R Us at Times Square yesterday (12-29-15) as they are closing permanently today! It was packed with tourists and not just families with kids. I just wonder what they are going to do with that fabulous ferris wheel...WOW!

If you are in Times Square and have girls, make sure you bring them here for a ride on the big indoor ferris wheel. It is memorable. This trip 2 of the girls are now 17 and 21. I asked if they are too old and they said "never". So they went on it and loved it yet again. The... More

Been there before many years ago and this time revisited with our teenagers. Whatever type of toy you're into, they have it (and don't pretend there isn't at least one toy you'd live to have!). Still love the indoor ferris wheel and huge animated T Rex. Our sons loved the Halo 5, DC, Marvel and Star Wars merchandise. I shoulf... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
