My teenage daughter and I had a fantastic experience on David’s tour. He shared background info about the world of galleries and the neighborhood of Chelsea before we started. From there it was non-stop art, with the grand finale “Drift” at The Shed. David was an energetic, fun and knowledgeable tour guide for this experience that would have been very difficult to do ourselves. Highly recommended!

This was the best art experience I've ever had in NYC... and I live here! David is an incredible guide — he tailored the visits to what he knew we'd love, and generously shared his deep knowledge about the art itself and how the art world works. If you want a short-cut to the best exhibits in the city, go spend 2 hours with David. We're already looking forward to our next tour!

Do you know the mark of an excellent gallery tour? One, which leaves you talking and thinking about it days later! David's 2% Gallery Tour in Chelsea is just that...EXCELLENT. His preparation is thorough, his knowledge is vast, and his delivery is creative! Don't miss this experience.., it is a gift!

A hidden gem. My parents often come in town for weekend trips and it's difficult to fill the days without falling into a tourist trap or falling into debt shopping. This is the antidote. David was delightful, funny, informative, intelligent, relatable and more. He introduced us to great exhibits and was so informative about the neighborhood in general. Really can't recommend his tour enough - would be a shame to miss!

I know nothing about art and yet I enjoy the tour tremendously. David is super sweet and very knowledgeable about art. I would definitely recommend this tour. It was the highlight of my four day trip to NYC. I plan to call him every time I go to the city.

I would recommend David's tour to two groups of people: those who are knowledgeable about contemporary art, and those who are not! He is interesting, knowledgeable, and casual--I think everyone would enjoy his tour. David made an excellent choice of galleries and route through Chelsea on a cold morning--he supplied hand warmers and cookies and kept the pace brisk enough to stay warm, with plenty of time to discuss the history and architecture of the area. I visit New York and galleries and museums often, and I now plan to include a tour with David on every trip.

Every time I visit somewhere I try to do a tour such as this. With only a limited time in New York and way too much to do before I arrived - it was fantastic to find David and spend a few hours with him in the lower East Side. He took all the hard work out of me wanting to go and visit the galleries of up and coming artists in New York as I didn't have the time to do myself an itinerary. I loved the galleries he took me too (and I think he amended my itinerary as he got a feel for what I liked), and it was great to do it on foot and just wander the streets and galleries with him. An added bonus of the best pretzel in NY, the best doghnut and a visit to the best pickle place just made my few hours even better. Thanks David I really appreciated your tour - one of the highlights of my visit to NYC. Would highly recommend to art lovers!

Too many galleries, too little time. It is hard to make the choice what to see. Well David sees all of the exhibitions and makes a pick of his favorite ones for the tour. Exchange of emails and arranging the meeting was really easy and quick. Along the way he gave me also a little tour through important architecture of Chelsea. It was really fun tour and passed too quickly. He sent me also some extra information and suggestions what to visit the following days. I really enjoyed and would happily book again when I come back to NYC.

Along with my sister and 18yo daughter I recently toured several Chelsea art galleries with David. David was highly engaging and made the galleries and art approachable. Each gallery he selected presented a different art form and exposed us to some fantastic art. He gave us quick rundowns before entering each space and then continued to provide guidance as we explored the shows. Two of the shows were on my “to do” list, unbeknownst to him. David gave us context about the art and artists which made the shows so much more meaningful than if I had visited on my own. Thanks to David we were even fortunate enough to have a celebrity sighting (Richard Serra) and the true honor of meeting Stephen Wilkes. It was an amazing afternoon, truly memorable

My sisters and I spent a day in NYC together as our holiday gift to each other. The plan was to visit a museum but taking David's Chelsea gallery tour most definitely ramped up the experience. He is entertaining and pleasant to be with and very knowledgable. Instead of trying to read all the wall plaque explanations, David did all the heavy lifting by preparing us about the artist and each show prior to entering each gallery. He was not boring, and definitely value added.
