So, you're visiting NYC looking for some entertainment, but don't want to cash in a CD to buy Broadway tickets (even if you can get them). Try a show or two at the PIT for some hilarious improv for the humble price of $5 per one hour set. There is also a full bar upstairs if you care for a... More

The crew working the PIT in Dec 2015 was absolutely hilarious. Knowing that every show is different I would/will go back again! Value for money in Manhattan cannot be beat.

My employer booked a training session for us to learn Improv at this theater. Our leader's name was Geoff and he did a great job at engaging our group and helping our newcomers feel comfortable with the rest of our group. We did some basic improv exercises that helped us get used to each other and it also highlighted different... More

I booked tickets to see a show at this theater, after reading a review in TimeOut. Fly You Fools, is a shot for shot parody of The Fellowship of the Ring, and as a huge LOTR fan I had been wanting to see this show for awhile now, but dates had always been sold out. Thankfully, they extended the show... More

Love meeting friends here- great bar- great laughs - super reasonable cover with fun atmosphere - some of the best new acts around to see before they're famous!

Going out in New York CAN be inexpensive and cool. The 'PIT' is the place to go for great improv. There's always great shows on so if you fancy a good belly laugh and go home with money in your wallet try this place out. Careful, blink and you could miss the entrance - a small door and then up... On our first night in New York we visited another popular comedy club and had spent a lot of money on admission and the 2 drinks-minimum policy - we subsequently went to the People's Improv Theatre on our third night and would recommend it over any other comedy clubs. It was so good we went back on our fourth night!... More

We visited for the first time for the OSSS and found it to be really good. Some bits were funnier than others and the man with the mustache was certainly the stand-out star. For $5 you cannot go wrong for a night out
