When you find yourself laughing so hard for so long that you walk out of the theater in mild pain with a tear stained face you realize just how hilarious this musical is. If you have the opportunity to see Book of Mormon by all means seize it, it was an absolute riot. Some practical information though: -if you are... More

This is a musical that contains many hits. It is quite rare that I want to listen to the music after the show but with Book of Mormon I do. The music is great! The show is funny but not suitable for very religious people and people without a good sense of humour...

Of course you know the story (if not Wikipedia has a good synopsis). Your ticket will have EXPLICIT LANGUAGE printed on it & they mean it. During one particular song, half the crowd was rolling on the floor laughing and the other half were looking at each other with that "did they just say what I think they said" look... More

The tickets are difficult to find at face value unless you buy a loooooooooooong time in advance. I bought off stub hub last minute and it was worth it. Yes! There were standing room only tickets available one hour prior to show but required a 3+ hour wait outside to obtain them. NYC was experiencing record heatwave temperatures and made... More

A big group of us decided this would be the first show we saw during a recent trip to NYC. Obviously this show gets a lot of positive press. Well, I can't really figure out why. I guess if you really enjoy foul language, perverted sexual references and references to raping infants...this is the show for you. The shame is... More

The Book of Mormon was great fun but can be offensive to some. We believe that some theater goers left during the second song because they did no research what the play was about before purchasing their tickets. If you like South Par, you will like the Book of Mormon. Expect to laugh and have a good time.

We saw this show in Chicago on a getaway weekend thinking it would be a highlight and worth the high price of tickets. While the acting singing and dancing were Broadway worthy the humor and language is so offensive that we left feeling used and abused and wondering why people find such abject crudeness funny. Subversive? Indeed! Funny? Much of... More

My husband wanted to go to this 2 years ago when it opened, and I said "let's wait until it hits TKTS." Of course, it hasn't. We went for our anniversary and laughed the entire time. Great humor, funny songs...the hardest part is finding tickets!

This is a really fun musical take on something most of us know little about..We really enjoyed the whole show and don't worry about the language. Go to it!

While not a musical we'll see high schools doing soon due to political correctness, this show is outrageously funny and poignant. While poking fun at various aspects of Mormonism, it also pokes fun at religion in general. But it uses humor to defuse life's ugliness and elevate individual and community caring. Everyone came out with a smile on his face.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
