Had a great experience with Rob A. as my photo tour guide during a recent vacation trip to NYC. He was extremely knowledgeable concerning photography and specifically in assisting with capturing some really great NYC moments and sights, was professional and courteous to both myself, my wife, and all the people of the city whom we ran across, and was... My daughter learned a ton from the Instructor/Guide (if I recall, his name was Ciro) and I was her assistant for the day - holding all her equipment. It was one of our most fun and memorable moments of our New York experience. She got a photography lesson AND we saw the most beautiful parts of Central Park.

I booked the citifari Soho tour for my young adult kids. They thoroughly enjoyed the tour inspite of the very cold and dreary day. Their tour guide Guildo was extremely experienced, knowledgeable, friendly and very creative. They loved every minute and felt it was more a photography class than a tour. In addition to taking shots of landmarks, Guildo showed... More

I booked the night tour and a day in Soho. Finally understood how to get some of those iconic night-shots using manual and a tripod. Went out next day and bought a tripod from Adorama. Later I went to Long Island City and watched for Manhattan Henge - didn't happen. But, I met some great photographers and got more hints.... More

great photo session in one of the most beautiful urban park in the world. the weather was bad but Gildo was a very good teacher and enable us to forget the snow. He focused on the essence and the beauty of the picture much more than the technical aspect, so that was very interesting. We highly recommend the photo tour... More

I had the NEW YORK LANDMARKS PHOTO TOUR with Ciro today and it was a very good experience. It's make near 40 years I am making serious photography, but there is always something I can learn on the subject and it was a great opportunity to do so with Ciro. He showed me new ways to be creative with light... More

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour Gildo's style. He adjusted to our skill level and walked through some basics, building us up steadily as we went along and showed us some creative techniques. A great pleasure and interesting photographer to have been on tour with. After the tour for the rest of the holiday, we were brave enough to mostly use... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
