I took a night tour with Citifari about three months ago just by myself. This time, I took a SOHO tour with my 17 year old son. The guide photographer was Gildo. He is a very nice guide and instructor. Both myself and my son really enjoyed the tour. If you are looking for picturesque sightseeing tour that you can... More

I wasn't sure what to expect when my girlfriend bought me a gift certificate for a Citifari photo tour. It turned out to be a fantastic experience. The photographer, Gildo, was truly a pro. He taught me so much from both the technical aspect and the creative aspect. He really gets you to set up your shots from a different... More

Why Citifari? I wanted to shoot cityscapes and that’s what appears in their logo. I also wanted to learn how to shoot at night. I went out with Gildo for an evening of wonderful learning. For the first time, I learnt how to make my camera do what I wanted it to do. Result? Lovely night shots full of coloured... More

Prue, thanks for your review. this is the essence of citifari. while we can guarantee the great experience, we can't guarantee the results... very glad you ended with shots you liked. Feel free to share them here or send them to us, we will post them to our facebook page from time to time... best, Sam More

Avoid this company like the plague. I was robbed of over $200 from these cowboys and when I tried to discuss some of refund it was like getting blood from a stone. There are other photography tours you can book from various trustworthy companies.

Derek, Please lay all the facts when writing such a negative review. You took a tour with us and said you loved it. You had another tour scheduled for the following day. Our photographer waited for you for about 30mn and you had not showed up. You arrived more than 30mn late and our photographer had left. The value of... More

I have a bit of photographic knowledge, but normally go for my camera set on fully auto and standard photo's with everything at right angles. My wife has less photo knowledge than me but enjoys taking snaps. This Central Park photo course with Gildo extended our photo knowledge and artistic eyes way beyond anything that we could have hoped for.... More

Had a great experience with Rob A. as my photo tour guide during a recent vacation trip to NYC. He was extremely knowledgeable concerning photography and specifically in assisting with capturing some really great NYC moments and sights, was professional and courteous to both myself, my wife, and all the people of the city whom we ran across, and was... Our guide Gildo seemed distracted and irritated with our level of knowledge. We didn't get to visit many of the destinations in the brochure, and our tour was only 2 hrs, when it is advertised as being 2.5 hours. We subsequently did a tour with NYC Safari which was far superior. Would not recommend Citifar.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time with Gildo as he guided us around the park and helped us take some great shots. I'm a fairly confident and experienced photographer and I felt I learned a lot during the tour. Looking at things with a different point of view, avoiding the clichéd snapshots I got some great pictures to take home. My wife... More

It was awesome! Gilding was a great guide, really friendly and I learnt more in the 2hours than in months of photography courses. He showed me some great creative tricks and I would definitely recommend Citifari and Gildo!

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
