This is a store you probably saw many times in the movies and TV shows ("Sex and the city"). It is big, varied and full of designer clothes, shoes and jewelry. If you are a visitor to NYC - go first to the Visitor Center (in the store) and get your visitor discount pass. You can find everything there -... More

There are quite a few stores like this in Toronto. For example the bay in yorkdale. This mall holds booths of all the major fashion labels with a select amount of merchandise. Lots of fun! But not cheap!

Don't wear yourself out walking around, take the subway and the station exits straight into the men's section. I have never seen handbags spread out over 3 levels before. This is an amazing store. Stop by the fresh fruit restaurant on level 7 before you leave for a refreshing drink before you leave.

Bloomingdales is a New York must do. Beautiful shopping experience unless you want to buy jewelry - I was wanting to buy a memento however the 6 people behind the counter were far to busy chatting about their favourite spot to drink to serve either myself or the other customers waiting. I tried a polite cough, an exuse me but... More

This is a great place to shop but it just feels like a bigger department store and nothing really to shout home about.

Worth seeing such a huge store. Go all the way down and all the way up...just to say you did. If you are looking for DEALS go to the Bloomingdale Outlet Upper West Side.

What a beautiful store, real class, staff are friendly and smart, and all top brands on display in beautiful surroundings. No discounts, you pay top dollar here. Try the frozen yogurt in the Café / Restaurant upstairs, you will want to go back for more.

Everyone's heard of 'Bloomies' but it's such a lovely place to finally visit. This store is designer heaven and great if you have a lot of spare dollars to spend! Obviously there are other stores where you can get labelled goodies at better prices but this is the place of the 'little brown bag' and it's an enjoyable place to... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
