Visited last year. My wife and daughter just had to get a Bloomingdale bag. Where else would you get on! Interesting to wonder around for an hour. If you have money - fantastic. If your like the rest of us and on a budget then look, smile, laugh and eventually walk away. Not too far from 5th avenue to easy... More

There is a great selection at Bloomingdales. Many cosmetic counters to choose from and a wonderful selection of designers to choose from in clothing.

This is one of my favorite stores to shop because it has a lot of options to choose from. This iconic store also has a restaurant that serves delicious food. The store has everything you need from home appliances to luxury items for the whole family. Definitely worth a visit to NYC to see this store.

Upscale prices with average cloths. Still a shopping mecca worth a visit in the Big Apple. Most of the staff is friendly but many are rude as well.

There's lots of great finds at bargain prices but be patient because you may have to rummage through a mountain of crap before finding them. Great location and friendly staff.

No one deserves to be discriminated however the Sales Manager felt comfortable doing that to us. Why are we paying $$$$ big price for the stores mistake? It is tarnishing the stores reputation thanks to the horrific management behavior.

The store has great products and has retained a feeling of old New York, being in this location for over 125 years. The store moved in 1886 to its current location on 59th Street and Lexington Avenue. It was designed with large plate glass display windows and large merchandising areas. Instead of the common practice of cluttering the display windows... More

I am not sure what I was expecting but honestly there was nothing here that you could not find elsewhere. There is certainly plenty to go at if you like your designer clothes, handbags or jewellery but nothing that stood out as a bargain or a must have that I could not get somewhere else. Unless you live miles away... More

This is a store you probably saw many times in the movies and TV shows ("Sex and the city"). It is big, varied and full of designer clothes, shoes and jewelry. If you are a visitor to NYC - go first to the Visitor Center (in the store) and get your visitor discount pass. You can find everything there -... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
