I enjoyed the visit to Saks Fifth Avenue because it reminds me of the many movies and TV shows in which the store was mentioned. It is interesting to look at the latest fashion and trends and browse for ideas but I never actually purchased anything there due to the very high prices.

Nice to stop by and see what was on trend. Went through all five floors bu the first had the majority of what we were looking for. Don't forget to bring your wallet, this place is certainly not cheap.

I always enjoy a stop at Saks. I can check out the latest in fragrances and cosmetics. Checking out the new styles is always fun.

When to Saks as part of a trip to Nyc. Visited a few of the luxury stores inside, and stopped at Saint-Laurent to purchase a bag. Lady named Tatiana helped me. She was excellent. Walked out with a beautiful Ysl bag. Ambiance is very nice. The women's shoe department is a little too hectic. Wanted to try on a pair... More

Saks left Kansas City several years ago. It's one of our 1st stops whenever we're in New York. (Chicago, Florida, Minneapolis) I have purchased 900.00 St. John suits for a fraction of the price when they are on sale. I love their Hosiery department, also. My husband loves their Men's Department. We had an isolated incident while shopping there a... More

If you want to shop in a store that advertises false prices here is SAKS. Their merchandise is overpriced and it is not that nice. You can get a nice dress at Lord And Taylor Brand Names Like Ann Klein, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren $50-100 dollars. At Saks it is at least $800-1500 for that same piece. None of... More

This store has high end items, with a surprising number of them reasonably priced, when compared to stores with similar goods. The staff is also extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

We were walking on 5th Ave while in the City last week & took the opportunity to shop for our grand-daughter. Unfortunately, we didn't find what we wanted, but it was fun to look. My wife also enjoyed looking at clothes for her. They have a lot of nice things, but be prepared to pay an upscale price for them.... More

Traditional department store. Yet another one of those famous places you have heard of, you've got to go just so you can say that you have been. Recommended.

after an hour of mostly window shopping at Saks, I decided to chill at the cafe on the 8th floor. I was pleasantly surprised as I had a little table available at the Terrace. the food and drinks were really good and so was the service. If only I had enough room for dessert, I would have tried their chocolate... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
