after an hour of mostly window shopping at Saks, I decided to chill at the cafe on the 8th floor. I was pleasantly surprised as I had a little table available at the Terrace. the food and drinks were really good and so was the service. If only I had enough room for dessert, I would have tried their chocolate... More

You could spend all day here it has everything you need. More flies for women it has to be said and the shoe dept is perfect! My husband was looking at jeans and was asked the same questions by too many staff which gets annoying after a while. Staff also won't deal with you if someone else is already helping... More

I rate it 5 stars for the selection of merchandise. The sales people are sometimes pushy but it is Newyork and they need to make money as it is expensive here. Plenty of selection and the location is awesome

I was at Saks Fifth Avenue and was looking for a new cologne. After sampling many colognes I then proceed up the escalator to the other departments. As I was getting off my shoelace got caught about 2 feet away from the end. I pulled my foot away immediately and this ripped my shoelace and my shoes lining. This was... More

I'll be honest...I like to shop...so, it was a given that we would stop in on our first trip to NYC...just to see this well known store. It was as stylish as I had hoped, with very attractive displays of merchandise. No real bargains....but, fun to browse, none the less.

Loved wandering through this famous store. We were invited to have a makeover which was fun. Our lovely artist Travaulya, made us look even more beautiful!! Then the sales pitch was applied, but not with pressure. The quality of the products is excellent so a bit of indulgence was warranted!

At our third trip to NYC we visited Saks for the first time. It was by accident (walking by and looking for the nearest restroom). It's a beautiful store. I wish I was there in the 1920's when it first opened. But we live now, and enjoyed it. It was a bit out of our league, because it was quite... More

But at least you can browse and then cross the street and take a walk along the flowers of the Rockefeller Center. The big ugly thing that looks like an over sized hot tub is supposed to be Van Gogh's ear... Modern art does not have limits. Or sense. Baltimore-born Andrew Saks, who had previously worked as newspaper boy and... More

While hanging out at Rockefeller Center my family and I walked through this store just to say we did since it is so famous. It is basically what we expected - very large, with very expensive items people can purchase if they have money to burn. All in all I'd give this an average rating since it is just a... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
