Loved wandering through this famous store. We were invited to have a makeover which was fun. Our lovely artist Travaulya, made us look even more beautiful!! Then the sales pitch was applied, but not with pressure. The quality of the products is excellent so a bit of indulgence was warranted!

At our third trip to NYC we visited Saks for the first time. It was by accident (walking by and looking for the nearest restroom). It's a beautiful store. I wish I was there in the 1920's when it first opened. But we live now, and enjoyed it. It was a bit out of our league, because it was quite... More

But at least you can browse and then cross the street and take a walk along the flowers of the Rockefeller Center. The big ugly thing that looks like an over sized hot tub is supposed to be Van Gogh's ear... Modern art does not have limits. Or sense. Baltimore-born Andrew Saks, who had previously worked as newspaper boy and... More

While hanging out at Rockefeller Center my family and I walked through this store just to say we did since it is so famous. It is basically what we expected - very large, with very expensive items people can purchase if they have money to burn. All in all I'd give this an average rating since it is just a... More

If you want to change your style or just change your lipstick, you MUST visit Saks Fifth Avenue! Their flagship store is a world of amazement with floor after floor of marvelous items. From the main floor where beauty and designer accessories, you are transported to another magical world. Each floor will give you many options of which you may... More

Great place to window shop, so many things to enjoy, just didn't have enough time to wonder. One needs to know what they are looking for then just zoom in for it.

A great store in a wonderful location; great quality and so many "name" brands so you don't have to shop in a number of stores.

It's nice to see NYC still supports some of the great department stores. There is a huge selection of clothing for the mature woman as well as the younger set. The sales help are very experienced and can sense the type of clothing and accessories that fit you, just from a little chat and quick observations. Great variety of prices... More

We arrived to have breakfast - menu said mixed berries with the granola/yoghurt option but it was only blueberries and the granola looked very aged. We returned it politely and requested a further scrambled eggs. This took ages to arrive by which time I'd already finished my eggs. The manager did come and apologise however but we were on a... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
