Twice I had a great time joining the Streetwise New York’s tours that we visited and walked around Greenwich Village and The High Line area, and Central Park and Upper West Side area. I thought both tours were perfectly designed that besides well-known spots, they guided to minor but interesting spots and features with lots of fun stories. And, needless to say, the guides in both tours presented not only deep knowledge of the tour areas, but also were like encyclopedias of New York that answered all of our questions. So, while you hardly have to breathe, they would entertain you from the beginning to the finale of the tours. Even if you have already been to New York, I highly recommend signing up for the tours, and you would rediscover or learn so many things about the amazing town of New York. 2021年12月 、ニューヨークへ旅行した際に Streetwise New York のウォーキングツアーに参加し、グリニッジビレッジとハイライン周辺、それとセントラルパーク周辺の観光を満喫しました。ニューヨーク旅行というと食事や買い物、あるいは超有名スポットをちょっと見たらばそれで終わり、みたいになりがちだと思いますが、こちらのガイドさんはグリニッジビレッジやセントラルパークの歴史、セントラルパーク周辺に住む人はどんな人たちなのか、なんてマニアックな面白豆知識・情報を小気味よく話してくれ、飽きることのなく町を闊歩できました。英語をちょっとくらいは聞き取れる、せっかくアメリカに来たのだから(買い物とレストランでの注文以外で)英語を使ってみたいという方にも超オススメです。私が参加したとき、大半は英語圏以外からの旅行者でした。是非、皆さんもウォーキングツアーを楽しんで下さい！
