This is a great store. There are a few of them on Manhattan but the one at Cortlandt Street is the biggest and best.. You can find great designers clothing for a good price. Don’t be in a hurry when you get there.
We wanted to see what all the rage was about this store so we stopped in after touring the 9/11 museum. I saw a lot of brands I had never heard of and saw several that I was familiar with. The prices were okay. The...More
Store has massive designer options. Kinda disarray -messy.
Staff are unfriendly and no assistants if you need them to check on something. Mind you there are more security and guards everywhere. I guess lots of shoplifters.
I decided to return an item a day later...More
I have shopped Century 21 stores many times and usually love the experience. This store was too crowded and things were in disarray. Due to the lack of organization, I just left without making a purchase.
This place is amazing, you’ll find great deals. It is a bit like TK Maxx in the UK, if you know, except it is much better since it has more choice in styles and sizes, and has very good deals. I spent a lot of...More
We popped in while we were at ground zero, we managed to get a few NY type clothing/gifts at a fraction of the cost of the “popular” ones seen all over the city. It’s very much like the UKs TK Maxx. Worth a visit if...More

The main one is near the world towers Wall Street area. There is another one in the Lincoln Center region. The downtown one is definitely worth the subway ride. There is no other place like Century 21 for clothes, shoes, etc from top Italian designers to French Connection a cheap line. The store opens at 7:30 am.

I re-read you question so that I might add a bit more information to my response. The fact that you asked if it would be too cold and you also wrote the degree that may be considered cold to You was taken into consideration. Weather and temperatures are relative and subjective. For me 38 degrees is freezing and uncomfortable. For those who are descendants of ice and cold weather people it may be a great day for a walk in the park. But, for sun people and their descendants it is less enjoyable especially and even with being weighed down with cold weather gear. Century 21 is crowded every day that is the worst part of it for me. Perhaps consider getting there when they open on a weekday for a much enjoyable experience where you will not have to wrap up. : )
Where ever you choose to shop I hope it is most enjoyable for you.
