Great Show- great seats
Nov 2018
We were in New York in November 2017. Strawberry Fields Forever Beatles cover band was really a great show. We were sitting very close to the stage. Didn't eat there but had a couple appetizers that were nice. Ticketing was harder than it needed to be. I had E tckcets and they had no coverage where the stage was.

Cringeworthy Production + Uncomfortable Venue = One Awful Night Out and A Hilarious Story
Sep 2018 • Family
Boy, do I have a story for you guys!! Let's set the stage( no pun intended): One year ago me, my mother, 8 year brother, and great aunt decided to go on a trip to New York City for fall break. I had always wanted to go to New York City, so I was very excited. Me and my family ate at cool restaurants, saw broadway shows, and even went to the MOMA. But what I was most excited about was the Strawberry Fields Beatles Tribute, as I have been a Beatles fan since I was a little kid.
I had been told this was a broadway show by my mom, so everybody was surprised when we ended up at a small blues venue. Despite the map not exactly matching the territory, I kept an open mind. Don't judge a book by it's cover, you know? So we showed our tickets, walked downstairs, and into a small, cramped musty looking basement. Me and my family got seated, ordered drinks, and got food from the buffet. Suddenly, I realized I needed to use the bathroom, so I excused myself, and headed to the nearest one. Once inside, I did my business and promptly walked over to the only sink to wash my hands. There was an older lady there who squirted the soap for me, turned on the water, and then dried my hands. I then noticed she had a cash box next to her. I was supposed to tip her! I fumbled around in my pocket for a crumpled dollar bill, and quickly left the restroom.
It turns out i had come back at just the right time, because the performance was going to start. I watched as a short video was played that talked about who the Beatles were, and how successful they were. I remember only one specific phrase in the video. "You are about the see the best (Beatles imitators) in the business!" I remember feeling utterly horrified when the lights brightened to reveal four pudgy, wrinkled, and prune-like men dressed in suits and what were obviously black bowl cut costume wigs. I had a terrible feeling in my stomach as the first song began to play. I wanted to go run and hide in the bathroom.
The rest of the performance was completely and utterly cringeworthy. I remember a horrible second when one band member shot me a smile, which was probably an attempt to get me out of my seat and dancing with everybody else. (I didn't go for it.) The band members also frequently broke character to tell us about their personal lives, gigs, and merchandise. The thing about being an imitator is you are an actor. You are supposed to engage your audience in a way that makes them believe that you are the real Elvis or the real Queen, or in this case the real Beatles. It's one thing if you don't really sell the ruse, so to speak, but it's another thing to break character on purpose.
Now I do have to give the members of Strawberry Fields some credit. They are very talented musicians with very good voices and great skill in playing instruments. However, I have very high standards for concerts and tribute bands as I have seen two other Beatles tribute bands play and they were both ten times better than Strawberry Fields.
I will have to make a bit of a confession. I didn't stay through the entire concert. I thought it was so bad, I begged my mom to allow me to go down the street to a department store to have a brain shower. My mom also decided she'd had enough, and she came with me. (My Aunt and brother stayed behind to finish dessert.) I had my mother make a promise to me that we would never speak of that day again, and she agreed.
Well here I am, one year older and laughing about this crappy Beatles Tribute with friends and family. My mom and I call them "the Fattles" and we still think this was the worst thing we ever did on a vacation.

Good Time Had By All At B.B. King Blues Club & Grill
Feb 2018 • Couples
Awhile back, my friend treated me to a fun evening at the B.B. King Blues Club in the Times Square area. The Club is very convenient, right in the heart of the City. It was a celebration of Ray Charles and his wonderful sound. A real musical treat that night. It was somewhat crowded and dark, atmospheric club. The drinks were great and somewhat pricey as well, unless you nursed an individual drink. They have a great variety of entertainment; they book different musicians, bands, and singers throughout the month. It's well worth checking this Club out.

New Year's Eve
Dec 2018 • Couples
If you are considering BB King's for New Year's Eve my only advice to you is RUN! We attempted to go there last year (2017/2018), purchased very expensive tickets and despite tickets which said 7 PM show time were forced to wait outside in record breaking sub zero degree temperatures. We never made it inside as the long wait time coupled with freezing temperatures got the better of us. Very disappointing customer service.

Great stage!
Nov 2017
BB King's was a great club with a wide stage, and the theater had great acoustics. Also, anything that makes me think about my favorite blues musician is a fabulous thing.

Nice and personal
Dec 2017 • Couples
I am a fan of BB Kings night clubs, because they offer live entertainment and the house band is always awesome. I particularly like this location because is in on Broadway in New York in heart of the city. I also like this location because it is small which allows for a more personal experience than any other BB Kings that I have visited. Their drinks are also good and they do not skimp on the alcohol. The Long Islands are fantastic. I will definitely return in the future.

5 Star Harlem Gospel Choir
Mar 2018 • Couples
The Harlem Gospel Choir where an absolute joy to sea and hear perform. Each one of them charming and engaging. The choir in full flow with the audience on their feet dancing and singing along was wonderful to be part off. Just to see the choir in B.B. Kings club was worth the ticket price. The food, ye it average at best but there’s plenty of it . Only gripe was we where seated at the balcony with the food immediately next to us. They got the tables at the stage to form a very long queue when the buffet started while we where supposed to sit next to the food and watch while the plates got piled high. Measles to say we didn’t and where one of the first up.
Again though, the Harlem Gospel Choir are an absolute must see on a trip to NYC.

A Musical Landmark!
Jul 2017
Intimate setting, great seats, reasonably priced and the BEST Blues in town!! We saw Darlene Love and her awesome band/back-up singers perform! Basically, an emotional and religious experience!
WHY HAS NYC ALLOWED THIS MUSICAL LANDMARK TO CLOSE?!?!?!?!
