We went later in the evening hoping to grab a delicious meal at the end of a long day. Online it said they were open until 11 so we headed up to the third floor and were greeted by a very rude hostess who was extremely hostile and inappropriate. I had asked if we could be seated when we found out they were closing soon, and she seated us but then chose to make rude remarks, talk badly about us to the other immature hostess, etc. Just tell us you cannot serve us! It would have been better than this!
The server was great but the food was mediocre and the overall experience was not pleasant due to the general atmosphere created by the employees this establishment has chosen. I would think long and hard before recommending anyone go to the Restraunt section of the Eataly. I did speak to management who compensated us a bit with our meal but still think others should consider this before going to La Pizza & La Pasta.

We went to Eataly near WTC, unfortunately out experience was terrible. Since we arrive we have a bad experience with the waitress that not even said “hello”, continuing with other one that not even look at us when taking our order. Finishing with a food too expensive for what is served. Emplomes too rudes for that kind of restaurant and experience.

There is no "scenic" view, just a brick wall. The Italian landscape was all plastic flowers and ivy. The food was alley street-cart tasting food. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The five host/hostesses should never work with the public. Overall, it was just awful food in an awful environment. From the elevator to the front desk, the floors are dirty. The bathroom was small and extremely unkempt. It is not for local New Yorkers to eat at; we have far too many genuine Italian restaurants in the city. Skip this "fast-food" mall-chain spot. Not NY at all. Thank you.

Rude bartender at pasta making wine bar. See photo. Wanted to have a drink but he insisted we needed to also order food to sit at bar. All the people at the bar told us after he walked away that they only ordered drinks, no food, and had no problems. I documented all of this and later sent email to management. Still no response from management so that’s why I’m reviewing them online. Please know that no only do the staff appear to discriminate but also that upper management is non responsive when this is brought to their attention.

went to get some holiday goodies, bought fresh figs , they were dry and not sweet 5 dollars into the garbage. Prosciutto was on the dry side but that will teach me not to buy pre packaged. The prices on the cheeses were 30% more than in any of the stores that i frequent including the specialty food stores. The store is nice but Im not impressed by the quality

It was supposed to be a nice Italian-style bar, but the service is terrible. The attendant spent the entire time talking in Spanish with a friend and treated us badly. Only at the end when we tipped did he mention a smile and a thank you. Besides, it's not cheap. Avoid this place

I only got one thing to say - If you love Italian food and you are in Lower Manhattan;

Oh, my gosh- this place is amazing for everything Italian. Huge selection of food items, fresh Pasta, proteins, etc.

Well worth a visit.

We stopped for gelato, which was the best we have ever had! After wandering around, we knew we would have to come back again. The day we left NYC we stopped in for some flatbread pizza and I bought some Focaccia to bring home with me. Both were fabulous. Fresh ingredients and just the right amount of seasonings.

My husband and I booked this restaurant for our 1st wedding anniversary and were very excited to try the food and even more excited to try the beers brewed on premises. The earliest available seating was 9:30 and we showed up a bit early to sit at the bar to have a drink while waiting for our table. The bar was packed and several of the patrons were quite intoxicated. At the bar, we were informed that the only acceptable forms of ID for a non-American citizen is a passport. Though both my husband and I are quite a bit older than 21 and had valid government issued photo ID from Canada, we were refused service. This ID requirement was not communicated on either the website or through email at time of reservation and despite this lack of communication on the restaurant’s part, the staff were not willing to make any exceptions.

After paying to take a taxi there, waiting until 9:30 for a reservation and getting knocked into by drunken patrons at the bar we were pretty annoyed.

Despite the terrible experience, it was for the best because we left and found a much nicer restaurant where the service was 100% better, there were no drunken tourists and the food was delicious.
