City Running Tours is a team of running enthusiasts that provides an opportunity to experience a city in an exciting way. We connect with like minded people from all over the world because of our passion for running as well as the city we call home. Through this reward, we are able to showcase the history and culture of a city while promoting a healthy lifestyle, instilling self confidence and making people feel like themselves. Ideal for the business traveler who is tired of the hotel treadmill, the marathon runner who is training for a race, or the recreational runner who wants to explore new and interesting routes, City Running Tours offers both guided group and personalized runs to accommodate any athletic ability, style, training regimen or specific landmarks. These runs are personal so it will be the running guide along with the registered clients. We can go further than a walking tour, as far as a bus tour and on the roads that most buses and segways are unable to.At City Running Tours our goal is to shape each tour based on our client's needs both as a runner and a tourist and because of this, they love the intimacy, breadth of knowledge, and the unique and local perspective that our running tours offer. Our clients experience a city at street level through the eyes and legs of someone who works, plays and runs in that city. Share your love of running with us as we share our city with you!

We did the brooklyn running tour which started and finished at the brooklyn brewery. Alex was our friendly and informative running guide who guided us around brooklyn. The weather was about 30º C or 90+ freedom units so it was pretty hot and Alex was accommodating to this. The run took us through a few areas of brooklyn and was... More

My sister and I were visiting NYC and decided to try something different this time to see parts of the city we had not in prior trips. Although it was a bit tough getting up at the crack of dawn, the Brooklyn Bridge run and tour were great. We started out near City Hall and ran through the financial district,... More

I did the Lower East side tour, and really enjoyed it. The guide, Beth, made sure we were all at a comfortable pace and stopped frequently to point out the sites and places of interest. The tour is at 7am, so there are not too many people around. It takes around an hour, and I think it was around 4... More

Extremely enjoyable tour. One of my highlights from my vacation. Professional staff in all contact. The guide was very friendly and informative about the area. He even had fun facts stops where he was able to tell you what movie film was filmed where. I was ready to do more than one but this was my last day in the... More

Perfect organized tour with a super friendly guide. He knew a lot about the area we were running. I would recommend this to you if you are looking for a different way to see new York.

I was going to be in NYC for the weekend and newly marathon training. I knew that i wanted to run Central Park but didn't want to do solo. I was looking for running groups and stumbled on the City Running Tours. I called and spoke to Coleman and based on the website i wanted to run the park, lower... More

I was in New York for business in early June. Time was tight so I decided to book a private running tour first thing in the morning. Beth was my guide - she turned up bright and early and took me on an amazing tour past central station and up to the Central Park. She was incredibly knowledgeable and answered... More

Alissa and I greatly enjoyed the fascinating commentary Brett provided on our running tour of Brooklyn (Williamsburg) and our conversations in general. The pace was just right for all 3 hungover bodies, the beers afterwards started the cure process. Thank you, we would highly recommend. Enda & Alissa

My daughter and I booked a run with City Running Tours last week. We knew we wanted to run in the park, and knew if we did it alone we would either get lost, only run the perimeter, or never know anything about what we were passing on the run. We booked a 6 mile and Beth was our guide.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
