Heard about this Egyptian obelisk when on the bus tour but could not see it as it's behind the Met Museum when travelling along 5th Ave. Walked up through Central Park and there it was in all it's splendour....3500 years old standing erect.
We recently visited Central Park and enjoyed seeing some of the park monuments alongside spring blooms which were starting to fill the trees. This was particularly the case with Cleopatra's Needle, the 3500 year old Egyptian obelisk situated directly behind Central Park.
