Our tour guide is very familiar with the history of New York along with the statistics of the population in periodic stage. I enjoy the tour very much even though the weather was very cold and not conducive. The tour guide also throws out tips on where to eat, shop and museum visits. Enjoy it. Typically people tip $10-20 per... More

We used New York City Walking Tours for two different trips - a 9/11 tour and a Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island tour. Both of our guides were highly knowledgeable and provided lots of information as well as fun anecdotes while we were on the tour. Would strongly recommend

We met with Kevin for the Dutch - present tour on a rainy day. We totally forgot about the rain as he walked us through history, with all kinds of facts and anecdotes about the founding of New York, Washington's battles, Hamilton's ascendancy. I'm not really a history buff, but it was a thrill to walk the same steps as... More

Having the experience of being on other walking food tours this tour was absolutely great. Our guide Nancy was perfect. Blending her knowledge of history and food made the experience superb. We took the Grand Central Terminal tour. This company limits the group size which makes for a better experience. We have plans to come back again and will be... More

We chose the tour that took us to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis island, and in the afternoon the 911 memorial. Our tour guide was Jeff and he did an amazing job of giving info and telling amazing stories. The Statue of Liberty was amazing and the stories of Ellis island so touching. The most touching part of the tour... More

Walking tours are a great way to get some exercise and fresh air while learning about the history of New York, and Walk About New York really gives you your money's worth. Recently, we took the 2.5 hour Greenwich Village tour with Phil and loved it. I don't know how he holds so much information in his head! The tour... More

Be sure to ask for Ryan with Sandeman walking tours. We did the midtown Manhattan walking tour with him, and he was the best guide we have ever had-knowledgeable, entertaining and funny, attentive, and obviously someone who enjoys what he does. We learned so much about the city, the architecture, the historical figures, and much more as we walked midtown... More

This is an excellent way to see the city by foot. Great Service and value. I tell everyone that is new to the city to take at least one stroll. There is so much to absorb.

We took this tour while in NYC this Christmas and really enjoyed it. The tour guide, Chris, hit all the high points of holiday sights but also added a lot of interesting information about some of the landmarks in the City that we passed. It was a perfect overview of the city for our first night in town. I also... More
