Recently came back from New York with the wife and 2 sons - 12 & 18 - and booked this as one of our tours. It was great!!!! Guide was very knowledgeable of not just the comic book theme but New York in general. Got a great little Batman drawing as a reminder to take home. VERY VERY highly recommended!!!!!…

The Tour guide for the tour never showed and the company refuses to compensate us for our inability to attend a prepaid tour while visiting New York. We spent over an hour waiting, hoping she'd show and another hour on the phone with Expedia trying to get a refund for services not rendered and they stated that the company refused to issue the refund. Ridiculous.…

Don't book this tour. I went to NYC with my boyfriend last month and got it as a treat. He was really excited. I booked it via Viator and and seemed fine until the day. The tour guide was very good and more than willing to share what was clearly a passion. Unfortunately, he was very unfit and seemed pretty ill. Anyway, we started walking around with the rest of the group and enjoying the info but within 20 minutes, the guide had like a strike and had to stop in a restaurant. No more experience for us when paid a total of £45 for it (included a £9 charging fee from Viator, wonder why because there is clearly no customer service whatsoever!). I do understand that the guide was unwell, but I contacted Viator to get some money back or at least get an explanation why they employ unfit people and they never got back to me! A total rip off, both for the customer and the guide. It's obvious that he was a nice guy who wanted to share his passion but he was clearly not up for the job. Viator or any other company should not advertise this kind of service they can't clearly provide! AVOID! There are many other wonderful things to do in NYC.…

Beware booking with this operator because most of the info you see online about the tour and when it runs is WRONG. Making a booking with this company is a disaster. There is zero communication between the operator and the agents taking the bookings. All the info on all the different booking agents web sites is wrong regarding tour availability. I would do the self guided Superhero tour instead and save yourself the money, the time and hassle of trying to book with this crowd of donkeys.Contrary to what all the booking agents web sites say this tour is only available on Saturdays and not on Fridays and Sundays. Also contrary to what the web sites show and what they say this tour is not running on Saturday July 4th Independence. Day. We booked this tour originally for Sunday 5th July. Booking was accepted and payment taken from my card. I was then informed that it only runs on Saturdays. So rearranged our plans and booked it for Saturday 4th July. Was sent confirmation, vouchers and tickets from both the operator (Best Tours) and the agent (Isango) then just 2 weeks before I get an e-mail from the agent saying they were advised the tour is cancelled due to it being on Independence Day.The tour only runs on Saturdays and we are only in NYC for one Saturday only, which is 4th July. Other agents web sites are still showing the tour is available on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays and on Independence Day. My kids are very disappointed.…

We are sorry that you have had such a bad experience with our Superhero Tour, and that our communication with you was so poor. We're anxious to address this issue and we would be very grateful if you could get in touch direct with firstname.lastname@example.org with your booking details, so that we can investigate and offer you a voucher for one of our range tours in compensation. Our apologies again.

We took our 9 and 11 year old on this tour. Our 9 year old is a huge superhero fan and the tour was the highlight of his holiday. The tour guide was excellent and knew everything about the comics/films and superheroes. My husband and I thought the tour was a great way to see the city. At the end of the tour the guide (who has drawn for many comics) was happy to draw everyone a superhero. Really recommend this tour as it was both fun and interesting.…
