We attended this class last week.

Mark and his team were fantastic. You will see Mark is full of passion even after teaching about 100k students. It feels the same amount of passion in him to make you good at pizza making. I also will tell you that what they teach works. We made the pizza twice in one week right after we attended the class. Amazing pizza both times.

Thank you, Mark and team.

Friends
Had a friend host her birthday party at the Pizza School. It was so much fun and obviously also delicious. There were drinkers and non-drinkers, meat-eaters and vegetarians. The class was a blast for everyone. Such a great birthday idea to catch up with friends in a way that isn’t typical dinner/drinks.

My team had a team building event at the Pizza School NYC. It was an amazing experience. Delicious pizza before the actual pizza making event and the hosts were amazing. I have been to a lot of team building events (some at fancy and expensive locations) but I'd rank this as one of my favs. It's been a month since and our team is still raving about our experience. Our quandary now is how to find something to top this in our next team building event :( Thank you!!

Who doesn't love everything pizza?? Our family of 5 attended Pizza School over the holidays. This was one of our favorite things we did while we were in New York! They have a great space and it was easy to get to. Pizza School was engaging and fun for everyone in our party (age 12-65+). Mark knows a ton and will likely chat with you about the pizza in your hometown- he knew our favorite pizzerias in Dallas. Their instructions and recipes are designed for the home cook, so you can go home and make the same pizza from scratch on your own. And we left with a total of 12 pizzas (4 per station)... so many we had to take an Uber back just to fit the pizzas! Thanks to Mark, Manny and D!!!!

Shout out to Libby and the entire Ramirez pizza-making posse! So great meeting you all, and all of you from the kiddos to the adults showing some serious pizza-making skills! That picture you uploaded of your post-class pizza spread in your hotel room will forever make us smile :) Give our regards to the Big D and feel free to reach out with any future pizza-making questions!

We received a Pizza School class as a gift and it was phenomenal! Loved the class, we learned a lot and the crew was excellent. They were fun, engaging and made it a memorable night. This is great for couples, family or a bunch of friends having a great night together. They sell wine and beer, and are moderately priced. Max students is 8 per session. We brought some of our home made dough home and it's in the freezer. Hopefully it will freeze well.
A great night!

It does not matter if you are on a quest to become a home pizza master, this is just a fun way to spend and afternoon and a great place to take someone on a date! That said, I happen to be the home chef on vacay in search of pizza prep secrets and Pizza school did not dissapoint. Additionally, it was such fun. Highly recommend this to anyone spending time in NYC. Great Staff makes the experience even better.

My wife and I participated in the May 12th class and we both had an amazing time. The four hours flew by, but also packed a lot of awesome information (and pizza) into it. I couldn't have asked for friendlier, more helpful or knowledgeable hosts. They are awesome.

The techniques they teach can turn anyone into a pizza master. You will make enough dough to make four pizzas and to practice the art of turning your ball of dough into the perfect thin crust. Mark teaches you how to make great tasting, yet simple, sauce that is so easy to duplicate with the most basic ingredients (don't let it fool you, it's simplicity is powerful). From there, he'll show you several different pizza combinations and let you taste each one fresh out of the oven. Then you're set loose to create your own pizzas. Mark & Jenny are there every step of the way to help, answer questions, give suggestions, etc.

You'll go home with the recipes for dough and sauce, and a sheet with several pizza topping combinations. If you need to pick up some tools of the trade, they've got those too.

If you like pizza, you'll have an amazing night learning to make awesome pizza that you can replicate at home and you'll have a lot of fun doing it. If you love pizza, you'll be blown away by what you learn. Either way, take this course. Forget about the tourist traps and spend your money at Pizza a Casa. You won't regret it.

What do you do when you visit NYC and have eaten the most amazing amazing pizza and then face the prospect of going home to Pizza Huts and Dominos? You find Pizza-a-casa and learn how to do the perfect pizza at home from scratch. In one evening you make up to 4 pizzas, from scratch. Dough proofing and the tricks of the trade are taught all in one evening. And just when you face the prospect of having to go home and search for the ingredients, you turn around and they have everything in stock and ready to go home with you.
The cost of the course seemed a bit steep to us, however considering you leave with 4 large pizzas and the ability to avoid the pizza delivery boy from now on it becomes more reasonable.

Business
I visited the Pizza School NYC with 24 company colleagues for a team building experience. Not knowing what to expect, I was delighted to find how much fun one can have making pizzas! We started with pizza training and sampling of multiple pizzas that had been made in advanced but cooked as we were talking. This was very tasty, interesting and relatively low calories given the small slices. The training was entertaining and the staff absolutely fabulous! Had the experience stopped there, I would still highly recommend a visit, but it got even better. With support of the staff, we made our own pizzas to apply our learning. Even those who were not into cooking loved their experience and those who liked to cook were in heaven! As they come from the oven, we shared each other’s pizzas to get ideas for cooking at home and sample new creations. End of the day, this was one of the best business dinners in which I’ve ever participated. The only reason I gave 5 stars is because I cannot give more!

After 8 years and more than 60,000 teaching pizzas baked (and eaten), the Pizza School NYC has the pizza-teaching process developed to perfection! Our instructors included Jenny, Neil and Manny. Each one of them brought knowledge, fun and hospitality to our classroom experience. We loved it and plan to apply our newly-minted pizza chef skills to the test at home. Practice makes perfect . . . and generates fun the process.

I would definitely recommend this as a must-do in NYC. Especially if you crave an experience more unique that hitting all the well-worn tourist attractions!
