This is legit 5+ Stars. First, the event is fun and great to do with friends. You get to stand around, drink wine and make great pizza. Plus you'll remember the pizza skills forever. Since taking the class, we have had 2 parties at home where we make the dough (so, so much easier if you take the class; just the keys to how to stretch the dough are game-changing), sit around and drink a glass of wine and talk for an hour while the dough rises then get on to the serious business of making pizzas. The host, Mark, is engaging and a gushing fountain of pizza knowledge and trivia. Do it! What else to know? wear good shoes. You'll be on your feet a lot. don't eat before coming. You'll get your fill of pizza. we made about 4 pizzas each. Probably had enough pizza making after 2, so we were lazy and just drank wine at the back end. Nobody kicked us out for that!

    Better pizza means better wine!
I've been making pizza for years. So little did I know. We had an amazing time with Mark from yeast packet to pizza box. I also learned that the better pizza you make, the better wine your friends bring. Most of all, we appreciated the resources offered for follow-up and of course, the dough emergency line!

Best Cooking Class of the Year (out of 4!)
My husband and I have done 4 cooking classes already this year, and this was our FAVORITE! The pizza was shockingly delicious and the class size of ~12-15 people was perfect. It was the quickest four hours of our lives; the time flew by and we didn't want it to end! Our chef, Ricky, was such a personality and such a talented teacher. We got to try the three bases: NYC classic, Margherita, and White, then build 4 entire pizzas of our own. We went for another Margherita (delicious), a sundried tomato and balsamic, a spicy "angry" pizza, and a white with hot honey. We had plenty of leftovers for the next day too. I love how they send you a guide after the class with everything that you learned so you can actually make pizza after the class and not worry about taking notes or committing the steps to memory during the class. Fabulous time! Such a great memory.

Who doesn't love everything pizza?? Our family of 5 attended Pizza School over the holidays. This was one of our favorite things we did while we were in New York! They have a great space and it was easy to get to. Pizza School was engaging and fun for everyone in our party (age 12-65+). Mark knows a ton and will likely chat with you about the pizza in your hometown- he knew our favorite pizzerias in Dallas. Their instructions and recipes are designed for the home cook, so you can go home and make the same pizza from scratch on your own. And we left with a total of 12 pizzas (4 per station)... so many we had to take an Uber back just to fit the pizzas! Thanks to Mark, Manny and D!!!!

Shout out to Libby and the entire Ramirez pizza-making posse! So great meeting you all, and all of you from the kiddos to the adults showing some serious pizza-making skills! That picture you uploaded of your post-class pizza spread in your hotel room will forever make us smile :) Give our regards to the Big D and feel free to reach out with any future pizza-making questions!

My team had a team building event at the Pizza School NYC. It was an amazing experience. Delicious pizza before the actual pizza making event and the hosts were amazing. I have been to a lot of team building events (some at fancy and expensive locations) but I'd rank this as one of my favs. It's been a month since and our team is still raving about our experience. Our quandary now is how to find something to top this in our next team building event :( Thank you!!

We received a Pizza School class as a gift and it was phenomenal! Loved the class, we learned a lot and the crew was excellent. They were fun, engaging and made it a memorable night. This is great for couples, family or a bunch of friends having a great night together. They sell wine and beer, and are moderately priced. Max students is 8 per session. We brought some of our home made dough home and it's in the freezer. Hopefully it will freeze well.
A great night!

Best Birthday Ever! Took our five kids and a niece and nephew here for my husband’s 55th birthday. WHAT FUN! Everyone ages 19-55 had a truly great and memorable time. At this point in our lives, the best gift we could ever get is being together, doing/learning something new and making memories. Highly recommend.

Thank you all for celebrating with us and taking the time to share your thoughts on our class. May this be the gift that keeps on giving for all your future family pizza-making parties -- BRAVO and all our best! Mark, Jenny, Neil, Eduardo and the rest of the Pizza School NYC crew

It does not matter if you are on a quest to become a home pizza master, this is just a fun way to spend and afternoon and a great place to take someone on a date! That said, I happen to be the home chef on vacay in search of pizza prep secrets and Pizza school did not dissapoint. Additionally, it was such fun. Highly recommend this to anyone spending time in NYC. Great Staff makes the experience even better.

What an amazing afternoon - I LIVE pizza it’s the only thing I cook. But I have been unhappy with my dough and stretching technique. I learned SO much.
Neil and his team are fantastic - friendly and helpful. I came out with four delicious pizzas (that I have away to some unhoused men since I am staying in a hotel!).
Highly recommend this experience.

My wife and I participated in the May 12th class and we both had an amazing time. The four hours flew by, but also packed a lot of awesome information (and pizza) into it. I couldn't have asked for friendlier, more helpful or knowledgeable hosts. They are awesome.

The techniques they teach can turn anyone into a pizza master. You will make enough dough to make four pizzas and to practice the art of turning your ball of dough into the perfect thin crust. Mark teaches you how to make great tasting, yet simple, sauce that is so easy to duplicate with the most basic ingredients (don't let it fool you, it's simplicity is powerful). From there, he'll show you several different pizza combinations and let you taste each one fresh out of the oven. Then you're set loose to create your own pizzas. Mark & Jenny are there every step of the way to help, answer questions, give suggestions, etc.

You'll go home with the recipes for dough and sauce, and a sheet with several pizza topping combinations. If you need to pick up some tools of the trade, they've got those too.

If you like pizza, you'll have an amazing night learning to make awesome pizza that you can replicate at home and you'll have a lot of fun doing it. If you love pizza, you'll be blown away by what you learn. Either way, take this course. Forget about the tourist traps and spend your money at Pizza a Casa. You won't regret it.
