One of my fav team building events ever!
Jul 2021
My team had a team building event at the Pizza School NYC. It was an amazing experience. Delicious pizza before the actual pizza making event and the hosts were amazing. I have been to a lot of team building events (some at fancy and expensive locations) but I'd rank this as one of my favs. It's been a month since and our team is still raving about our experience. Our quandary now is how to find something to top this in our next team building event :( Thank you!!

Pizza class for a birthday gathering
Oct 2019 • Friends
Had a friend host her birthday party at the Pizza School. It was so much fun and obviously also delicious. There were drinkers and non-drinkers, meat-eaters and vegetarians. The class was a blast for everyone. Such a great birthday idea to catch up with friends in a way that isn’t typical dinner/drinks.

Super fun, learned a lot, left with 12 pizzas!
Dec 2019
Who doesn't love everything pizza?? Our family of 5 attended Pizza School over the holidays. This was one of our favorite things we did while we were in New York! They have a great space and it was easy to get to. Pizza School was engaging and fun for everyone in our party (age 12-65+). Mark knows a ton and will likely chat with you about the pizza in your hometown- he knew our favorite pizzerias in Dallas. Their instructions and recipes are designed for the home cook, so you can go home and make the same pizza from scratch on your own. And we left with a total of 12 pizzas (4 per station)... so many we had to take an Uber back just to fit the pizzas! Thanks to Mark, Manny and D!!!!

Shout out to Libby and the entire Ramirez pizza-making posse! So great meeting you all, and all of you from the kiddos to the adults showing some serious pizza-making skills! That picture you uploaded of your post-class pizza spread in your hotel room will forever make us smile :) Give our regards to the Big D and feel free to reach out with any future pizza-making questions!

3 Areas of Review - Classroom, Pizza at home, Customer Service / products sold
Dec 2019
Overview: The classroom experience is great. If you follow the process, you will be able to make great pizza at home. The products sold (on top of the class) are reasonably priced and the team at the school provides great customer service after the fact. If you are considering doing this, go ahead - you won't regret it.

Pizza School Team: The instructors are knowledgeable, well traveled, and passionate about pizza. They know more than you think there is to know about pizza. They were engaging, patient and fun throughout the process. No doubt that they make the entire thing fun and worthwhile. I cannot recommend them enough.

Classroom experience: I decided to surprise my wife with a trip to the pizza school for our anniversary. The class teaches you how to make dough (worth the price of admission alone), sauce, select toppings and encourages to experiment and try some new styles / flavors of pizza. You use the dough you make in the classroom to make four pizza per workstation (up to two people per workstation.) They also make a few pizzas to offer you some variety and stretch your boundaries. The classroom experience lasts about 4 hours and was fun, social and very informative. If that is all you did, it would be a great experience.

Pizza at home: I have tried for years to make pizza at home, but have not managed to master it, especially the dough. My one goal of the class was to be able to make decent pizza dough - check that box. I use their sauce, their recipes and of course their dough process. I have made well over 20 pizzas since the class - including a pizza making party on New Year's eve to great acclaim. The pizza is fantastic and I learned enough technique to make breakfast pizza, dessert pizza, and even copy CPK BBQ Chicken pizza. The product at home great exceeded my expectations going into the class. Part of that is the use of the tools that they recommend (and also sell.)

Products / Customer Service:
We purchased their delux pizza kit with the baking steel. During the class, I looked up all the items in the kit online to compare prices. The cost of the kit was very close to online prices - so much so - that I went ahead and purchased them through Pizza School NYC to ensure I had the same products. Every item I purchased (from stone, to pizza pan, to scale) have been of great quality. I did have a problem with a scale I ordered which malfunctioned. The service from the school was great - one email and they had the manufacturer ship a replacement to my home - no muss no fuss. They also provide a "pizza dough hotline" similar to butterball to help in home cooking crises.

Big saucy shout out to the "Kreechers"! So nice meeting and making pizza with you two and we love hearing how we helped you dial in your dough - and of course you can dial the "dough emergency hotline" if ever in knead :) And thanks for taking the time and write such a thoughtful review. All the best and here's to amazing pizza at home in 2020 and beyond!

Great Pizza Class
Dec 2019 • Family
This class deserves it’s #1 ranking. The class is informative, tasty, and a lot of fun. The guys teaching the class really know their stuff - from teaching all about the dough and crust, to the super easy sauce, to the different cheeses. It was a great outing with my children (son and his wife in their 20’s and other son 19). We ate slices from each of our pizzas but took home a lot more. Each of us made up to 4 pizzas, but I recommend doing the class as a team of 2 where each person gets to make 2 pizzas. It’s a little cheaper per person but just as much fun. The four hours goes by real fast. Never a dull moment.

The Best Class!!!
Dec 2019 • Couples
The Pizza School was one of the best classes my boyfriend and I have ever been to. We celebrated our anniversary here and it was a great decisions. Erik, Neil, and Deonte were amazing! The class is 4 hours long and you learn how to make everything from the dough to the sauce. They teach you about the right over to use, mixers, kneading the dough and much more. We are confident that we will be able to replicate this pizza in our own apartment! Thank you so much for a day well spent! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Unique fun!
Nov 2019
We were in town for a corporate meeting last week and the whole team went to the Pizza School the evening before the meeting. We had no idea what was in store for us. It was fantastic! The employees did a great job keeping us entertained and our drinks full. The pizza they made and we made was delicious and surprisingly easy. Truly a fun and unique experience. Even my husband who doesn't cook got into it. We will definitely be making pizza at home with the kids.

Dinner and a show (ok, a class) that upped out pizza game
Oct 2019 • Couples
Four of us took a Saturday night class with Neal, Ricky, and one guy who's name escapes me. We went to learn how to up our at home pizza skills to make better use of our outdoor pizza oven. The guys taught a fun and informative class. The pizzas were great and the vibe was all fun. We got our money's worth from the evening.

Their sauce and pizza dough recipes are really good and reliable. We've used the recipes five times since then, including artisan pizzas made and cooked at a tailgate, and have had great results every time.
