Bikes were in horrible shape. I got a flat 3 miles into the park on bald tires - no roadside assistance, no refunds, had trouble finding my driver's license they had taken. I forced my kids to come back following day because I wanted the experience of biking Central Park and I was out my money. Older kid said, "Seriously,... More

A bicycle rented for 3 hours and this was not a success. Brakes were not working and continued to hang against the wheels, gears weren't working, the rear wheel was crooked. I have asked one money back but that was negative. bad business and arrogant female manager. A good Board, rent here no bike. There were many unhappy customers.

We were visiting New York and my husband really wanted to hire bikes to go round Central Park. We were approached while walking to Central Park by a guy who was offering a discounted deal. He explained what we would get and told us to follow him. We foolishly did. He took us to a more or less empty shop... More

We were submitted 5 bikes for 2h at a cost of$55 So far it great deal. With the confirmation we were at the shop getting all that was ordered When fitting the bike at the store already 2 of the 5 were replaced (brakes and shifts) were not well function our mistake was that we were going to the park... We rented 2 bikes here today. We are native New Yorkers but wanted to enjoy the city as tourists. This company gives absolutely NO Instructions about rules of the road and even how to get to central park. I have never ridden a bike in NYC before, and do not know the rules ... however, we got scolded 2 times... More

First the good thing:recommend hiring a bike to cycle around Central Park. But I would never hire a bicycle from this outfit again. We hired 3 bikes; on one bike the crank set was very loose and the handlebar grip kept coming off, one with only 2 gears working and one that had the chain coming off many a time... More

Hiring bikes is definitely the best way to see all of Central Park - there are tons of companies and I would for sure not recommend this one. My daughter's bike wheel nearly came off as it was not screwed on properly, the trailer for my son was very dangerous (even the guy fitting it outside suggested not to use... More

Biking through Central Park is the best way to see the whole park. This bike rental company is ok if your standards for bike quality aren't too high. The chain fell off one of the bikes in our group - luckily it was near the end as we were walking the bikes back to the shop. I know how to... More

I rented via the internet on a sale for $18 a day which was much less than half of what I say in many other places. However, as I approached Central Park, people with signs were offering all day for half again what I paid. I had to almost beg the sales person for the chain and lock (bike thievery... More

I hired a bike from the young guys at the corner of 5th Ave/59th St .. It cost $20 for 2 hours and I just had to leave some ID, I suggest school or Uni ID cards. There are Citibike stations everywhere on the outside of the park and they are only $12/day but you have to give $101 deposit... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
