Hire a bike to see Central Park

I hired a bike from the young guys at the corner of 5th Ave/59th St .. It cost $20 for 2 hours and I just had to leave some ID, I suggest school or Uni ID cards. There are... read more

Hiring bikes is definitely the best way to see all of Central Park - there are tons of companies and I would for sure not recommend this one. My daughter's bike wheel nearly came off as it was not screwed on properly, the trailer for my son was very dangerous (even the guy fitting it outside suggested not to use... More

Biking through Central Park is the best way to see the whole park. This bike rental company is ok if your standards for bike quality aren't too high. The chain fell off one of the bikes in our group - luckily it was near the end as we were walking the bikes back to the shop. I know how to... More

I rented via the internet on a sale for $18 a day which was much less than half of what I say in many other places. However, as I approached Central Park, people with signs were offering all day for half again what I paid. I had to almost beg the sales person for the chain and lock (bike thievery... More

I hired a bike from the young guys at the corner of 5th Ave/59th St .. It cost $20 for 2 hours and I just had to leave some ID, I suggest school or Uni ID cards. There are Citibike stations everywhere on the outside of the park and they are only $12/day but you have to give $101 deposit... More

Bike hire varies quite a bit around Central Park. This business was about half what we were quoted by some others for 4 hours hire. It is a few blocks away from the park so not as convenient but the bikes were decent enough although we had to do a quick fix when the chains came off two of them.... More

Whatever you do don't book in advance and don't use the rental firm that are operating in the park they are way too expensive. There is so much competition now you can get a very good price if you show up at the main entrance and just ask the people standing around with bike signs. We were offered all day... More

I really loved this bike ride in Central Park. The stuff of Bike Rental Central Park were very helpful, professional and very well organised, would highly recommend. I had a great time, would definitely do it again. Great way to spend a couple of hours in a lovely park and a nice release from the madness of New York City.

Much cheaper by booking in advance and I really enjoyed riding around the park. Good pick up location. Probably two hours would be sufficient to complete the loup.

Bike lock was free, and only $1 for a basket. The people in the shop were very helpful and friendly. We had so much fun riding around the... More

This company had a very helpful staff. They provided me with a helmet and basket for my bike. I liked their equipment. It all worked properly. I have rented bikes before and had to return the bike because the gears didn not shift correctly or were difficult when changing gears. I was even able to adjust my seat. The ride... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
