Beautiful day, horrible bike!

Quick, inexpensive, good bikes. Convenient to Central Park or Hudson River bike routes. Helmets, locks, and baskets available. They gave me credit for time lost to flat tire! Enjoy all the great new bike routes all through and around Manhattan!

I was very excited about this tour. We arrived in time for our pre-paid tour (great discount if you book online), but it was apparently a very busy time. We were given the last available bikes: they were not well maintained! My seat was very loose and swiveled throughout the ride. The helmet and basket were included in the price... More

During my last visit, i rented a bike at Bike Rental Central Park, i was left disappointed under many aspects, one of them is certainly the safety, bikes not only are old and not in good conditions, but they don't have lights, or ringing bells, i asked to the staff a bike with a basket, because i had a backpack... Despite the reviews, our experience wasn't as bad as many are making it seem. Visually speaking, the establishment wasn't 5 stars. It could honestly use a makeover. But the clerks behind the desk were pleasant and friendly. The bikes were decent, although my partner complained that the tires needed air and the brakes weren't that great (he'll find anything to... I purchased a 4 hour bike rental for two thru Groupon. It was our first visit to NYC and we wanted to explore Central Park. What a mistake using this rental place was. The bikes are in bad shape. The first bike my husband got the chain fell off before we left the place. They provided him with another one.... More

Booked 2 women's bikes 2 days ahead by credit card via company's website. Received email confirmation of payment. At company's NYC location when asking for the 2 reserved/paid for bikes with the free helmets, locks, baskets and map as advertised on company's website, was told "We don't have more baskets." I did not accept bikes without baskets; went into office... More

We rented 2 bikes from them for 2 hours, after they tried to lure us in with their offer. Ofcourse the 20 usd were before tax. They didnt say that before. The bikes were old and dangerous. One had broken gears. The tyres used and dangerous. Get a City bike.

Bikes were in horrible shape. I got a flat 3 miles into the park on bald tires - no roadside assistance, no refunds, had trouble finding my driver's license they had taken. I forced my kids to come back following day because I wanted the experience of biking Central Park and I was out my money. Older kid said, "Seriously,... More

A bicycle rented for 3 hours and this was not a success. Brakes were not working and continued to hang against the wheels, gears weren't working, the rear wheel was crooked. I have asked one money back but that was negative. bad business and arrogant female manager. A good Board, rent here no bike. There were many unhappy customers.

We were visiting New York and my husband really wanted to hire bikes to go round Central Park. We were approached while walking to Central Park by a guy who was offering a discounted deal. He explained what we would get and told us to follow him. We foolishly did. He took us to a more or less empty shop... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
