There were a couple of funny comedians throughout the night however drinks are overpriced, tickets were no way worth $25 each. If you are a tourist do not buy tickets from sellers at Times Square. They are not honest.

When will comedians realize that jokes about sex and such are a sign that they don't have much wit or material? I realize that there are many people who expect that, but some of us would appreciate a higher level of comedy. Also, drink minimum?...More

Got tickets on the street after approached. Did not pay full price for tickets and we were glad. Tickets are open so we went last night, not many there. Did not like that we were told where to sit. Set out like a theatre instead...More

The comedy club is a great little spot outside the usual 'tourist' parts of this great city, quick ride on the subway and you're there, the acts I watched were all very funny and great with the crowds, in particular the comedian named 'Osama bin...More

The fact you already paid to see the comedians should be enough. Being forced to pay for a minimum of $17 per person for drinks is a joke. They then add tax and 20% service fee. Even if you don't drink alcohol you still have...More

I loved the lineup they had. Matt Richards is hilarious! There is a two drink min, but honestly what club doesn't have that these days. The seats against the wall straight back are the best, the host was very good and read the crowd very...More

So sorry it seemed a bit shady! That is in line with the club's standard weekend online & door prices. There are a LOT of comedy clubs in NYC (probably more than any other city on earth) and they vary from elite to... More

New York Comedy Club (4 Replies)
Well, we're winding down our first day in New York. We did a ton of walking, and were planning on going to the New York Comedy Club, on 24th st. (only because on we bought tickets off the street. I'm not even sure they are real) Guess I should have know better. Is this place any good, or should I just blow it off and chalk it up as a $20 loss?

The place is real, it is off 2nd Avenue, go and see, you can always leave, it a residential area. I know, I live across the street!!!! Enjoy.
