Wanted to charge us (5pp) $10ea for the bar...there went any seats ..so they let sit at a table ( which is usually $15pp) for the $10...the set was half over. Three piece band....can't remember name...he was a good sacs player...but VERY repetitious!!! OVER & OVER again & again! We ended up only paying $20....we shouldn't have paid that😞

Get a table if you can as the bar seats are way back and out of the action. Expect crowds for big names but the Chick Corea concert I saw was worth every bit of the pushing and shoving that you have to put up with, apparently, at all the New York jazz clubs with the possible exception of the... Yeah, it's crowded. But that has been my experience in every jazz club I've ever gone to, both in the States and Europe. You're not going there to stretch out, you're going there to see the world's top jazz artists! Acoustics are fantastic and I would dare to say the setting is actually intimate (I'll catch flak for that comment... More

Corea Hancock concert, what to say, wonderful. I got a very nice seat without a prebooking. A bit expensive, but affordable for 2 giants of jazz. Service very efficient and friendly. I just took a beer.

Chick Corea and his band staright up jammed! Great performance! The Blue Note Club is too crowded though. Fire safety is a concern.

The ticketing is unclear- so if you book a 'bar' ticket you are very, very unlikely to get a seat. Instead you are crammed into the a corridor at the side of the stage, where there is little or no hope of getting even the merest slither of a glimpse of the artist you have paid $55 dollars to see.... Sure. The music great. But the setup verges on criminal. If you buy a bar ticket know there are 14 seats. Don't turn up early enough for one of them and you'll be standing as far away from the stage as it's possible to be. For $55. Screw you.

Was here on Monday night to listen to the dizzy Gillespie all star band. Seriously good jazz. The food was ok, nothing special, regular diner fare. The place is a little cramp. Make sure to come at least 60 minutes earlier before the band start time, so you can enjoy your dinner and drinks and get better seats! A MUST... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
