A typical little Jazz club On arrival the staff were super helpful as it was our first visit We was booked to Savion Glover, OMG what a show, just unbelievable performance by probably one of the best new age tap dancers. I've never felt so blown away by anyone and his amazing band. An hour and half set where he... More

We saw Savion Glover at Blue Note. It was a great show. I feel that sight lines weren't optimal for a show where the feet are the focus, however for standard jazz shows sight lines seem good overall. Food was good, drinks a bit expensive (hey, it's New York). Overall a very good spot for live entertainment in a small... More

Amazing tap dancer and amazing rhythms ... a once in a lifetime opportunity to view this living legend up close. Ah, to see his feet go and go and go!!! His body is an instrument and he embodies the music of the band. Thank you Blue note! Your place is small and the seating is close, but the dancing was... More

The blue note hosts only the highest quality jazz artists and other roughly associated styles. It is a tightly packed venue, and is always best to book ahead for seats. Great vibe and music!

Very difficult day to go anywhere in NYC with strong winds, blowing snow and deep slush and icy sidewalks everywhere in the Village. All the coffee shops were packed with locals. Had to get in line for the 8 pm show at 4:45pm and was not the first in line by any means. Even with tickets for the 8PM show... More

We waited in the freezing cold for 45 mins until the start of the next show. We almost froze to death and we were 4th in line. By the time they opened the doors the line went around the block. We paid just $10 /per and we purchased them online before we joined the line (better to purchase online). Once... More

Intimate venue with great artists. Iconic place to see at least once in your life, although I think I will be back again. Food was good, short wait as everyone arrived at the same time. Good drinks selection too.

Is this the house of Jazz...maybe in the past. Is it worth the visit NO. Despite the heavy price paid for a table they will put you in tiny table (something like 120cmx60cm) for six where also in four you would have been extremely narrow and under the policy first come first served. It means you will need to arrive... More

This is our 3rd year to visit NYC specifically to see Chris Botti at the Blue Note. We love the club atmosphere- small and intimate. It is very close quarters when sold out, but we don't mind. Menu is basic bar food, but good enough. Best to go early to get a seat in front of the stage. We will... More

We go to the Chris Botti show every year, last nite did not disappoint. Show was great, club is crowded so get in line early for better seats. Will never miss this show when he is in town. Highly recommend the Blue Note.

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
