We were so fortunate to have Josh as our tour guide for the Brownstone Neighborhood Eats Tour. He was interesting and funny and handled the various personalities of our tour group very well. We went to a variety (9?) of local eateries, some around for generations and some new establishments - all serving samples of excellent fare. I will definitely... More

If you love food, if you are curious about history, if you enjoy a good story- just go to that tour. Brian, our guide, was so nice, had a lot of knowledge and passion, and really knew how to tell the stories right. we have really learned a lot and enjoyed a very nice 3 hours that just passed to... The tour was fun and interesting, full of info about the history of Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill, as well as the stories off the particular places we visited. The food was all good, but this is not a tour for foodies, much more a taste of the neighborhood, places locals would frequent but not destination eateries. If you want... More

Joe, our guide, was great. We walked around the historic area (3 neighborhoods) in South Brooklyn and all the while sampling delights from eating establishments that are trying to encompass the local food philosophy. Some of the places, like Damascus deli, D'Amico coffee shop have been around for decades and some are newer but have been lovingly restored and turned... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of taking the amazing walking brewed in Brooklyn tour with Brian. It was incredible way to spend the day learning more about the roots of Williamsburg while also learning a ton about the beer culture and tasting some great pizza. We cannot say enough about Brian, incredibly knowledgeable as well as friendly! He... More

We loved our tour with the very knowledgeable Alison learning so much about the area (3 neighborhoods) and food! It's great to be on foot to see this bustling part of Brooklyn. We tasted some unique things. It was a fun way to spend a sunny day, and I highly recommend it!

Took the Craft Beer Crawl in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Had a really great time. Fab range of craft beers and venues. Astrid Cook was a super host: knowledgeable; enthusiastic; and professional. She even flexed the final stop so we could take in a bean-to-bar, artisinal chocolate maker as well as the beer garden next door. Excellent afternoon in a cool neighbourhood.... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
