Even though we toured in a pouring rain, the cultural descriptions throughout the neighborhood were very interesting and brought back memories of events that we lived through in many cases. Harlem has undergone many transitions, and this tour brought them to life. The food is over the top! Sylvia's chicken and waffles with a side of grits, African, Soul Food,... More

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. A nice mix of history and food with a knowledgeable and energetic guide (Jackie). I left with a much better sense of Harlem's history and culture, as well as having tried a number of delicious dishes. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Great tour. Jackie was the best. Our 4 hours tour lasted 5 hours. One of the best experiences I've had in NYC and well worth the money. Enough interesting, tasty, food for lunch. The only negative I would have would be if the weather was bad. Lot's of walking. Fortunately we had a great day. Kudo's to Jackie

The Harlem food tour is a wonderful introduction to one of New York's more interesting neighbourhoods. Our walking tour encompassed a range of local sites, shops and restaurants and lots of great stories on the history and culture of the neighbourhood. Highly recommend.

There were 8 in our tour group and we enjoyed tasting delicious Harlem cuisine and Learnjng interesting facts about the area. Best for folks who are comfortable walking and standing. Plenty of breaks to sit and use restroom if needed. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Taste Harlem for someone looking to do something a little different from the typical New York tourist sites. It was really enjoyable to walk the streets of one of NYC’s largest borough’s and taste the local food. The tour offered a wide variety of delicious treats from brisket and mac n cheese to pastry delicacies and... More

When you do most food tours you get a few dishes and a bit of information but Jacqueline had my attention every minute of the tour and my taste buds were in heaven. I titled this review, Soul and Sole, because our group walked over three miles in Harlem as we tasted soul food. We started at Sylvia's Restaurant for "breakfast" of grits, waffles and fried chicken. Our tour guide. the other Jackie O ( her last name is Orange) was full of information and passion for her adopted home. She is originally... More

We just finished a most delightful and informative Harlem Food Tour. Our guide, Jacqui, was very knowledgeable about the history, architecture, food, and cultural aspects of the area and made us feel so welcome into her home turf. We can't wait to come back to do the architectural tour.
