3 of us took the Greenwich, Chelsea, high line tour last week and we all loved it. It was 3 hours long but just flew by. Our guide was Dante Salerno and he was great. He was easy to hear, answered any questions we had, suggested several things that tours could not cover but were interesting. Suggested different books and... More

We took this walking tour on a very cold and windy Monday with Onel and loved it! We met at the fountain near City Hall and started with a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge. Despite the cold and wind, Onel was informational and entertaining and never once suggested cutting the tour short, and we actually went for about 3 1/2... More

Cory was a great tour guide. I would highly recommend this if you want some history combined with great eats. Cory's knowledge of the places we stopped on the food tour ranged from the mid 1800s until present day. With each location, Cory shared a particular story or memorable insight on the establishment. He discussed the waves of Jewish, German,... More

I have had great experiences with Free Tours by Foot in other cities, but for our tour of Brooklyn on Thursday the tour guide was OVER 45 MINUTES late with no prior warning or reasonable explanation. Because of our travel schedule that day we elected to forego the tour and were highly inconvenienced.

Today I did my fourth tour and they all were amazing I especially loved Dantes tour because he allowed us time to take pictures (even helped us) and I also loved Garretts tour, he was really funny and had awesome sound skills! To me that's the best way to visit a city.. Wish I could do more!

This is a great tour! If you always wanted to know why Graffiti is considered street art just listen to Mar or Izzy and you'll be delighted. Although it was a bit on the cooler side when we did the tour our teenage kids and we had a wonderful time during the two hours well spent. Highly recommended.

Our guide Onel gave us a great walking tour across Brooklyn bridge, Brooklyn and Dumbo. He was very knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. A good way to spend half a day.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
