For the detective in you!
Dec 2019
Really cool museum, small compared to others in New York but very interesting. Lots of quirky exhibits including a poison umbrella and a tree trunk with a hidden meaning! Old and relatively new spy gadgets, and the staff are really friendly - we had a guided tour, with some funny anecdotes and good info that brought the exhibits to life. This is a great experience unlike no other.

the museum isn't as big as the famous museum of nyc, but have great exhibits, and allow you to fill like inside James bond movie. the guided tour is recommend especially for non Russian speakers.
for better experience the museum team should translate should exhibits like signs to English.

Fascinating for History and Tech Buffs

Interesting for all ages. As someone who grew up during the Cold War era, I found the historical aspects very interesting and the devices and methods fascinating. Who knew the KGB was so much like "Get Smart?"

Amazing collection of artifacts

One of the best historical museums I've ever experienced. Almost every item is authentic and creates even more "wow' factor to seeing and learning about the history of this famous organization and the people affected by it.

Enjoyed the museum. The experience was enhanced by the knowledge and charisma of our tour guide, Sergio. It's a small museum with some interesting artifacts.

We spent about one hour here on a guided tour and had a Fabulous time.

I got locked up in a Torture chair for fun.

I would say an hour is a good amount of time to spend here

Came in with a friend to see the museum - a wonderful collection of eclectic pieces from the old world. Fascinating displays and very well- versed tour guide (Danihl) who gave us some super insight into the world of the Cold War. Highly recommended.

Really nice small museum dealing with kgb espionage. We especially enjoyed the guided tour, which adds a lot to the experience. If you ca do it, don't miss it. You can also take free pictures dressed up as a Soviet officer, which is pretty cool :)

Intense Look at KGB
Feb 2020 • Family
This is a very informative museum with a remarkable collection of original examples of KGB paraphernalia. It’s a small museum but with the tour, which I recommend, is about an hour or so of intense information. You see several examples of the sophisticated devices used to listen or photograph. And you learn about the history of the organization. It seems like a good museum to better understand the legacy from which Putin comes.

Make sure you have the guided tour
Feb 2020
The tour makes it interesting but you must like the technology. If a room full of miniature cameras and tape recorders isn't your thing then maybe it's not for you?
