This is a review of the Central Park Conservancy, the non-profit whose mission is "to preserve and celebrate Central Park as a sanctuary from the pace and pressures of city life". I have been on several of the guided walks they host and they are SO worthwhile, with guides who always know a ton of history and nature info and are so enthusiastic. Such a great way to enjoy and get to know better our amazing Central Park! And everyone I have talked to on the phone from this org is always helpful and friendly. Definitely worth supporting.

My husband and I always wanted to rent a bike in New York and see all Central Park. We didn't do it in our last visits because we didn't know a good renting place. A friend of ours recommend us Central Park Tours and I have to say that she was right, this place was amazing!! Good bikes, amazing customer service and really helpful with all our questions. We loved it and we will repeat next time in the city!!!

Great Experience from start to finish. Friendly guide who took us around the whole park ( took us about 2.5 hours, one steep hill to climb other than that it is pretty flat). We would stop at certain places and get off the bike to explore the area while our guide waited patiently. We paid $53.00 for the tour and i think it is worth every penny, it would have taken us all day to find our way around the park on our own. Watch out for the locals biking in the park, they will yell at you if you are in their way. No baskets on the bike but I would recommend bringing a bottle of water and there are a couple different places you bike by to use the restroom.

Fantastic tour. My cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling so much tour guide Phillip was awesome, great knowledge of the park and happily became our personal photographer so we could cherish the memories of the park. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to see central park at anytime of the year

Anytime I go visit NYC from Boston, I always make a point of visiting Central Park. I love the sights and sounds as well as the taste of nature in an otherwise concrete jungle. While I usually like to walk, I thought I would give one of the "rickshaw" tours a shot since my feet were aching. Fortunately, I ended up picking a great tour guide to pedal me around the park for an hour or so. He (Teo?) was extremely personable and entertaining. The short time we spent together was filled with lots of fun facts about Central Park and other things to do/see in NYC. If you ever have the opportunity, then I highly recommend you check out Central Park Tours!

Totally avoid this company. Had booked a walking central park tour and the tour guide never showed at designated meeting spot. I got there 10 minutes early waited 20 minutes and called the number, just got the answering machine. Left a message with my phone #. Waited a total of 15 minutes past meeting time - no sign of any tour guide;.

Before the tour I had emailed the company twice to ask a question - never a response. Avoid avoid - so many other walking tours where their guides actually show and other companies that actually do good buisness.

My family was extremely disappointed after this tour. First, my email had the wrong address for the bike shop, so we had to call and find out that the correct address was 2 blocks away. Second, our tour guide did not show up, so we had to call again and wait 20 minutes for a new one to show up. Third, they don't tell you that Central Park does not allow bike rentals in the park, so you have to go to a bike shop that is 3 or 4 blocks away and then ride through the busy New York streets to get to the park. My kids were really scared riding in the busy streets. However, our tour guide was pretty decent and he did come give us the tour on short notice since the first guy didn't show up, so I guess that was one positive thing about our experience. I also wanted to mention that the bike shop and tour company are not the same company. I don't think the bike shop has any advance notice about the bike rentals for the tour, so they will have no helpful information for customers who show up ahead of the tour guide. Please note that we did enjoy the tour itself, so if you approach the tour knowing everything I have mentioned, you will be better prepared. There are lots of interesting things to see in the park and the bike ride is fun.

I arranged to be picked up at the Tavern on the Green. I received a text message that my rickshaw was waiting out front at the appointed time. I went outside asked if they were there for my ride through Central Park. Guy said yes. When ride was over he said he had not been paid by company. Called company and they said I got into the wrong rickshaw. But there was only one there.

This was the best way to see the park! We're glad we chose this instead of the horse carriages because they smelled bad as we rode by. Our guide was very good and he explained lots of history, buildings and movie scenes. He came down on the price after we told him we were going to look for a cheaper tour! It was a fast, fun way to cover lots of park area!

I booked online for 8:00am the following day as confirmed per email. When coming to the office, it was closed. On telephone I was told they only open at 9:00am?? I would get my money back if I write an email. I did write three emails and used contact form on HP and no reaction. Still no refund!! that is not acceptable!!!!
