My 17 year old daughter and I got $5 discount coupons on the street, right when we were heading to the museum, still a bit expensive but was really interested. Kill a couple of hours and see something that is weird, unique, funny, shocking, impressive. You'll be wowed!

It's ok. 100 years ago when you travelled and photos were rare, Ripley'sbtales of far off cultures were mouth dropping. Today, the Learning and History channels are filled with much more. Good pre theater time filler. Can use up 1 to 2 hours. Other than a time filler, don't go.

Visited Ripley's Time Square as respite from the heat (37c) & had a fun time. Had visited Ripley's in London so knew what to expect. It was a fun couple of hours. If you are looking to get out of the heat or for something to do on a rainy day - go to Ripley's Believe It or Not -... More

This is one of the best museums in New York City, but is cursed by being on 42nd Street and usually filled with many tourists. New Yorkers tend to call it a "tourist trap". Count me as a New Yorker who is also a tourist; I've loved the place for over 30 years and come by at least every other... More

We stopped in here because as we were walking down the street, we were given a coupon. There are some interesting items in here but the museum is not as big as I thought it would be. Recommended if you are looking for unusual things to see. Enjoyed seeing and reading about the Berlin Wall (see pic). Also the "freak"... More

My 9 and 12 year old loved this, it was very interesting and had some interactive things to do. We used a Groupon for a discounted rate, I would have been disappointed at full price. We spent about 2 hours in there and it was not crowded so that was nice. Plenty of other things to do nearby to make... More

Most of what you will see here you can find in greater quantity online. It was very disappointing....a hundred dollars that could have been spent elsewhere.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
