About Soccer Walks NYC
NYC is a melting pot with people from all walks of life. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world. Soccer Walks combines these two truths. Our tours explore the impact that immigrant groups have had on the city and the history of soccer in New York. Our walking tours are each 1.5 hours, followed by a live viewing of a match at one of NYC’s premier soccer specific pubs/restaurants.

Overview
Our tours allow you to see the sites as well as the match. Soccer Walks NYC is the only New York walking tour that will introduce you to the history of the city through the eyes of the many immigrant groups that have arrived in New York with a dream for a better life and a love of soccer. Neighborhoods covered include the Lower East Side, Little Italy, Greenwich Village and East Village.

After exploring the immigrant history of various New York City neighborhoods, we’ll stop in to one of NYC’s many soccer bars to experience what it’s like to watch your favorite team or league with a bunch of rabid football fans in New York City.

I stumbled upon Soccer Walks and was quite honestly a little skeptical. But, boy was I wrong! She greeted us very promptly and gave us wonderful information all the while being very courteous. She deserves a millions stars, because I would not recommend any other tour but her's! Thanks again Jocelyn!

It was wonderful to meet you and your family Kathie. We are definitely looking to reach soccer fans as well as people who currently work in the sport in order to help grow the game. Glad your husband got to see his team win. All the best.

My husband and I recently visited New York and wanted to take a walking tour a bit off the beaten path. My husband is a huge Barcelona fan and wanted to find a spot in the city where he could watch a recent match. Soccer Walks NYC allowed us to do both. The neighborhood walk was so interesting and learning about soccer history in New York was cool. Of course the pub after the walk was a blast and my husband’s team won to boot. Jocelyn knew her stuff and was very engaging. We loved it.

This is a good introduction to the Lower East Side of New York, the traditional immigration centre of the city, through the lens of the Beautiful Game - football, or soccer as it's known in the U.S. This tour took us through Little Italy, Little Spain, the East Village and even to the venue for Steve Nash's annual "Showdown in Chinatown," as we were filled with interesting sporting and historical information about the history of soccer in New York and its development - leagues, international exhibition games, famous personalities - in the area we were in, as well as across the other boroughs. Bring walking shoes, as this tour covers a fair bit of ground (which, depending on whether you like walking tours or not, is something to bear in mind). The walk finishes at a pub to watch a game with fellow New Yorkers, a surprising number of whom are footie fans. Tour guide Joslyn was fun, full of facts and figures and answered almost all of our questions.
