Dedicated to helping locals and visitors alike enjoy the unique wonders of New York City, Classic Harbor Line hopes for the privilege of escorting you on a relaxing, inspiring and breathtaking cruise through the waters we proudly call home. Our three classic yachts – the Schooner Adirondack and the Schooner America 2.0 (our sailboats), and the Luxury Yacht Manhattan (our motorized yacht) are reminiscent of the classic boats that cruised the NYC waters a hundred years ago.

The boat is small and comfortable; plenty of room below or on deck, as you choose. There were about 40 passengers on our cruise (July 21) and it was always easy to get a seat or a vantage point for a photo. Our guide was well-informed and entertaining. The tour, all the way around the island, gives you an entirely... More

An incredible way to see the city. About 40 people on a sail boat. Great crew - Andrew, Danny, Caleb. This trip is worth your time. I know you will agree!

We wanted to visit FreshKills Park (please see my review of this park), to bird but due to extreme restrictions the task was difficult. Fortunately we found Classic Harbor Line. A three hour Architecture Tour was scheduled for this past Sunday. So off we went to Chelsea Piers for a wonderful morning learning about the architecture of lower Manhattan, New... More

This is my second time with CHL and my son's first time. I was on a sunset sail 2 years ago and it was wonderful! I highly recommend this company's tours/sails. I wish remembered the names of our crew members as they were all so good. We took the afternoon sail out to the Statue of Liberty on the Adirondack... More

We spent our last night in New York on the sunset cruise. It was slightly cloudy so we didn't actually get a sunset but this didn't matter at all. They gave us 3 rounds of drinks which was plenty, unfurled the sails as there was just enough wind, which was wonderful and gave us beautiful views of New York. The... More

My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 early teens) enjoyed our sight seeing tour on the 4th of July. The ship was somewhat crowded but we were able to get seats inside and had room to sit outside as well. The ship was very well maintained and we appreciated being on a much smaller vessel. You could bring your own... More

The America 2.0 is an incredible way to see NY, enjoy a beautiful sailing vessel and have a small group with cocktails. The staff was amazing, very informative and the value was great.

I went on the Sunset Champagne Cruise on the Manhattan with my girlfriend. The boat left on time and the crew was very polite. These people have it down to a science and timed the departure time with the sunset almost down to the second! The service was amazing, I didn't even have to leave my seat for drinks. The... More

There are so many choices in terms of boat excursions on the NY harbor. Ive done the circle line which is nice to get an overall view of Manhattan. Its longer, louder and does the job. This time I wanted a different experience, so i chose being on a schooner for the first time and it was great! Its a... More

We booked the sunset cruise a couple of weeks in advance. To our great disappointment the weather was terrible for most of the day and we were afraid the cruise would not go ahead. I rang Classic Harbour Line and they confirmed they would most likely go ahead. Fortunately the weather improved and we were able to enjoy the sunset... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
