Very unique subway and/or walking experiences available as part of a public tour or as a private tour that is different from most standard guided food tours. We also offer self-guided On Your Own Experiences which are food walk-throughs of various New York neighborhoods and are designed to help save you money over eating in tourist restaurants. We are a true eating tour, not a sampling tour and we also offer restaurant recommendations (as noted in many reviews) on our guided tours to help you eat well and save money for the rest of your trip. You choose what you eat and how much. You'll see non-tourist neighborhoods in a relaxed manner and while on the guided tours you will be mingling with others from around the world in a larger group format. For those who do want to experience great restaurants and save money we offer our Customized Restaurant Concierge Service. This is a personal service available through TripAdvisor based on your lodging location, attractions you are seeing, food preferences and budget. To experience a culture one must experience their cuisine and since New York is the world's melting pot its many cuisines is its shared culture. Food On Foot Tours takes visitors beyond the tourist attractions to the largest buffet in the world, New York. You'll see the neighborhoods where New Yorkers live and eat. You'll share our passion for all things New York and travel the way New Yorkers do, by subway and foot.

We enjoyed the tour very much . We tried foods we would not have without this tour. He recommends his favorites but lets you buys which items you like.

Great few hours exploring some fab culinary delights in hidden little treasures (we would never have found). Fantastic variety at the 6 places we visited - middle eastern, pizza, Mexican and many sweet delicacies. I think my husband would have preferred more savoury food, but my daughter was in heaven with all the dessert stops. Great use of the New... More

Amazing! We stopped at 6 different places to eat. All good food, great opportunities to meet new people, and a nice walk. The guide was friendly and helpful. The only negative was that we waited until the end of our trip to take this tour so we didn't have time to revisit those spots for full meals! Thanks for a... More

I already know what sort of response this is going to get from the "company" but I'm going to write it anyway. Interactions were not good from the start. When responses to emailed questions came multiple times pointing to the terms on the website that don't contain the information I was asking for, I should have bailed. Since I had... More

We had a great afternoon visiting 4 food stops we never would have seen and getting more experience on the subway! He was well organized and delivered on what he promised.

We did the East Village variety tour and it was well worth it. Corey took us in places that we would never think of going in without him. All the stops were excellent. You get the freedom to choose what you want to eat but he advises what to get and how much (we were still stuffed by the end... More

Thanks for the very nice review. One of the things that makes our tours special is that we have people from all over the world on every tour. When you couple that with the chance to get what you like and NOT what someone gives you our experience is different than other tours. Sometimes we have to be loud to... More

The tour was excellent. The guide, Corey, was fun, knowledgeable and very helpful. The food was terrific with a lot of variety and the prices were super low. I took this tour a couple years ago and I booked it again when I returned to New York. Highly recommended.

An authentic New York "foodie" guides you through good and cheap places to eat. It's reccomended to split portions through the six stops.

Before Corey starts, I CAN read and DID understand what type of tour I was going on. The issue isn't that at all, but simply that the tour isn't very good. When we met at Penn Station Corey told us that this would be one of the most relaxed things that we would do in NY. I can confirm that... More

Our tour is an overwhelming positive experience for most of our guests. Our reviews speak for themselves. We provide a chance for folks to see and eat in the real New York and as noted in so many reviews we help people eat great for their whole trip. If we stop at a place in a neighborhood that has more... More

My wife has been looking forward to this tour since we booked a trip to NYC, and this tour did not disappoint. Corey was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. To be honest I enjoyed the tour of East Village and the people, including Corey, more than the actual food. My wife really enjoyed the different foods we sampled. Her favorites... More
