About Food On Foot Tours
We believe in Food Tour Freedom. Whatever ticket type you choose you get to eat what you want and how much you want. We think that's much more fun! Very unique subway and/or walking experiences available as part of a guided public tour or guided private tour that is different from most standard guided food tours. We also offer self-guided On Your Own Experiences which are food walk-throughs of various New York neighborhoods and are designed to help save you money over eating in tourist restaurants. Our self-guided On Your Own Experiences can be used as a tour, a list or as a tour first to sample and you can return to your favorites for full meals. Each Experience also includes some low cost breakfast options near major tourist attractions. Our guided tours are true eating tours, not sampling tours and we also offer restaurant recommendations (as noted in many reviews) on our guided tours to help you eat well and save money for the rest of your trip. You'll see non-tourist neighborhoods in a relaxed manner and while on the guided tours you will be mingling with others from around the world in a larger group format that is much like a field trip. For those who do want to experience great restaurants and save money we offer our Customized Restaurant Concierge Service. This is a personal service available through by contacting us directly that helps you save and eat great based on your lodging location, attractions you are seeing, food preferences and budget. To experience a culture one must experience their cuisine and since New York is the world's melting pot its many cuisines is its shared culture. Food On Foot Tours takes visitors beyond the tourist attractions to the largest buffet in the world, New York. You'll see the neighborhoods where New Yorkers live and eat. You'll share our passion for all things New York and travel the way New Yorkers do, by subway and foot.

Context: We used our New York Pass for a food on foot tour, expecting to see and sample some interesting NYC food joints with an interesting and entertaining guide. It is clear that Corey (the guide) will not take this feedback on-board and rather he...More

I agree with lots of the other reviews which say that Corey is abrasive, rude and condescending. We used our passes to pay for this tour, however to spend $50 for Corey to boss you around and show you a few food shops is deplorable...More

We're sorry the tour wasn't for you but based on all our reviews there is no way we are not caring. We stand by our tours and the way we do things. We did not start the tour standing around for 45 minutes. We did...More

Corey was a wealth of knowledge both on the food and the history of the area. He knew where to take us, how to get there, and had spot-on recommendations on what to order. After 3 savoury stops and 2 sweet stops we were well...More

We did the mid-winter midtown tour which specifically planned for places that we could sit inside to warm up! A great way to experience great places that only a native new yorker can really know about. We enjoyed the variety, cost and of course the...More

NYC food scene can be daunting. If you depended on Yelp and went for a popular joint, you might spend much time waiting in line, break the bank, or both. Not an ideal situation to be in as time is precious while touring an expensive...More

Our guide was very nice, helpful and passionate. He is apparently very knowledgable about local food and what’s the good place to go for certain types of food in certain areas of NYC. We were quite late but he managed to find a way to...More

No tour encourages our guests to become friends in the way we do. It is a big part of tours. Thanks for the wonderful review.

A well organised food tour with 3 savoury and 2 sweet food stops. The local history was very interesting and an added bonus was learning some great places to eat Definitely the best food on foot tour

My husband and I are both go getters when we travel. We like to get the most that we can out of a city, explore like crazy and experience it like a local. This tour definitely hit all those points for us. We loved the...More

A few times a year someone captures the essence of our tours in a review in a way no one else does. Not only did you do that but you described the tour in a blunt way that no one else ever has. We loved...More

If you’re in New York you need to do this tour! Food was cheap, and good! Corey will also ask where you’re staying and give you great spots for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s a must do!

Our tours are unique in that you make your own choices on our tours no matter which ticket you buy. For us this is much more fun than a sampling tour where get a piece of cheese or a piece of brownie. You have the option of... More

We do not run tours every day so it is best to check the schedule first. Choose a tour based on neighborhood or theme because all our tours are surprise tours. Food On Foot Tours
