I bought a three day tour. I did all the tours and liked what I saw. I would preferred to have it all taped instead of being subject to having a good and a bad guide. I had some terrible guides, the worst (part of the downtown tour) insisted on shouting instead of using the microphone with the result that... More

Started in Times Square and over the two days used the service all the time. I agree with other reviewers it totally depends who is giving you information on the places you see. We only had two people talking to us on different routes one was very good and the other one just okay. The other buses we were on... More

It looks to me that this company runs but itself with no supervision of any kind, they have the guys promoting the tour, the guys n the street explain what's included, the get their the commission, the buses drive around, the people get on and off but the overall experience is poor. On one of my tour I found Jesus... More

Grey line bus tours is a laugh. We have been on three circuits of the city, so far, only one commentator was good, in fact excellent - David- the other two downright terrible. The second guide we had on an uptown tour was obviously an ex real estate agent who only knew the estimated rental costs in the areas we... More

These tours are a good starting place. I would however strongly recommend a two day ticket max. This with some planning will allow you to do the 4 bus trips (Uptown, Downtown, Brooklyn and Night Tour) and the 90 minutes harbour cruise. This will give you a little history of NYC and give you a sense of where everything is.... More

My fiance suprised me with a trip to New York and my grandparents then suprised us with a 2 day + 1 free day of hop on hop off bus tour which they had used the year before and enjoyed. We also really enjoyed our bus tour. You have to be lucky to get good tour guide. We got on... More

If you know New York little bit, this tour is not useful. Buses are old and dirty. Guides tell you stories about their young days, ex girl friends, etc. For the price you pay it is not worth it. You can have the same ride in a taxi. Two interesting parts are the theater district and downtown (9/11 memorial and... More

There are few better ways to see the city, we took the 48h pass that included the midtown river cruise. And it was worth it, we got to see the sights and hopped off at a few places that we wanted to investigate a but further. The guides were informative and added a touch of humour to their routines. We... More

Despite the mixed reviews, we went ahead and did the 48 hour pass with City Sights. I really enjoyed it! We used the buses for touring and as transportation. The guides were friendly and informative. I've been to New York many times on business, but learned more from the tour than ever before. The Uptown loop was particularly good since... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
