One of the most fun and unique activities in NYC
This was SO much fun and very high energy. I wanted to do something different for my 30th birthday, so had about 10 or so friends sign up for this with me. We had the best time and my friends are still talking about it weeks later. It was great to do something outside of the standard dinner and drinks celebration.

    Fantastic experience!
Accomplice the Show was a fantastic experience! The actors were amazing and the way the show is integrated into local businesses is really cool. This is a fun time for resident New Yorkers to tourists alike. Highly recommended!

Fun, interactive experience that takes you to some interesting places!
Our group of 11 took part in this experience and had a really wonderful time. The actors are all excellent in their roles and keep it fun for the audience (kudos on all the improv!). The locations selected are unique and the paths you walk allow a true exploration of a vibrant neighborhood. I highly recommend this!

Quirky and fun exploration of Greenwich Village
My family (husband, 13 year-old daughter and myself) had a fun few hours with six others exploring Greenwich Village on what I would describe as a fun scavenger hunt. We had previously done several walking tours around various parts of NYC but the Accomplice experience was something that my daughter really enjoyed far more than the traditional walking tours. I would certainly recommend this - especially to those looking for something a little more offbeat.

    Interactive investigate adventure theater
Accomplice provides a great time for families, couples or team a building event. They have combined the investigative aspect of an escape room and the entertainment of theater with the adventure of a treasure hunt. It’s a great way to spend a few hours seeing the city, meeting people and having a great time. I highly recommend giving them a try when in New York.

This was so much fun. It is a cross between a scavenger hunt and Escape Room..."A live action escape room" my friend called it. For two hours we walked, trigged to solve clues, stopped in at 2 bars for drinks, met up with some silly actors who played their part and sent us onto the next. The actors were not stellar, but that didn't matter, as they played their role and led us to the next clue.
I went with 6 friends, and we all had a great time.

Super fun experience. I had friends who were visiting and I wanted to strike a balance between 'Fun New York Experience' and 'Not Too Touristy' and this absolutely hit the spot. The focus slants a little more toward the scavenger hunt/riddle portion with fun actors and stories unfolding at each stop rather than a very intensive or involved story, but it was just the right combination of goofy and engaging for us. The actors were all very endearing and committed to staying in character even when curveballs were thrown their way. Our story was theme Wizard of Oz and spotting all the fun Easter Egg references was great too. The riddles and puzzles were not extremely difficult but still required actual thinking and engaging with the clues.

The one thing I will say is, the maximum group size for the story we did (The Village) was 12 but our little group of just 3 had no issues and I worry that more than 5 or 6 could feel bloated instead. If it's a large group that all knows each other, the larger team is probably still fine.

Definitely be prepared for a fair amount of walking. Although there were only ever small flights of stairs (ie, 4-5 steps up a stoop or to a landing), I would suggest anyone with mobility issues contact that program before committing to tickets.

Overall, highly recommended and very fun.

We arrived at the Strand bookstore on Saturday July 23, 2022 an hour before our 4:00 pm show. I received a phone call at 3:35 informing us that the show was cancelled due a Covid issue. I was asked if I would like to return the following Saturday or be reimbursed. Since we do not live in Manhattan, and travelled two hours to arrive at the meeting spot, I asked for the reimbursement. I was told this would not be a problem.

The next day I received an email from Accomplice saying thank you for attending the show. I called them back and sent an email asking what this was about and asking for my refund.

I was then called today and spoke to Betsy. She told me that they never called to cancel and did not know what I was speaking about. I supplied her with the number of the caller and she later on called me back and left a message saying that I must have been the victim of a crank call and that they held the show. Since nobody but myself knew that I was surprising my partner with this "show" there was no way anyone would prank me.

Betsy refused to reimburse me and told me that what she can do is have me call the day of another performance and if they are not sold out then they would allow us to join. She would not book us for another show and did not return my call when I informed her that I had proof of us taking the train into Manhattan to attend the show and the ticket stubs to the 4:10 showing of "Nope" that we wound up going to see at the Regal a few blocks away.

Why on Earth would I take a train into the city for a 185.00 performance for a show that I would not see when I was already at the predetermined spot waiting and then receiving a call informing me the show was cancelled? You would think that Betsy and her team would work with me in order to make this right.

I am writing this review because I just received another email from Accomplice telling me thank you for attending the show and to leave a review. Well they asked for it and here it is.

I have since contacted my credit card company and am disputing the charge.

Hi Clifford, We had nothing to do with a phone call you got canceling the show. We had 48 others who came through the show on July 23rd. Sounds to me like you got there early, saw the group before you, decided it didn't look like your thing and came up with this way out. Good luck with the credit card company. I'll be telling them that you were a "no-show" Best, Betsy

This was one of the best things we did on our visit to New York. If you love mysteries and escape rooms, then this is the adventure for you. The actors played their parts perfectly, the mysteries we had to solve were challenging enough to be fun yet not so difficult we got frustrated. It was fun joining in with the other people in our group and exploring the area while solving clues. Great time had by all.

My family and I had a fun time walking around the village following clues. The actors were all great and very into their parts. We thought it was a little expensive for what you get. Would have been more worth it if another drink (and some time to chill at the bar) was included or maybe an appetizer. A fun day in the city though. Definitely wear comfortable shoes.

I first heard about Accomplice New York when I moved here 10 years ago, and I've always wanted to give one of their events a try. Since I had a birthday that ended with a '0' this year, I decided to have a big, unique to-do, and Accomplice was my first choice! And when I saw that they had added The Golden Spork dinner event since the last time I looked, I was even more excited!
I definitely presented a challenge to our event coordinator, since almost every one of my guests had dietary restrictions of some kind, but she handled it masterfully!
Several of my guests told me independently that this was the best birthday party they had ever attended! The puzzles were a lot of fun and engaged people who love puzzles and people who aren't so into them alike. The food was great at each restaurant, and the actors were so entertaining! They really added a fun air of mystery and adventure to the the whole evening.
As tempting as it is to say more, I don't want to risk giving away any of the awesome surprises!
This was a real treat that I highly recommend as a group event (ours was a group of 10)! There aren't many events like this in the world, and I'm sure I will be talking about it for years to come!
