The best part of this tour was our tour guide, Bruce Racond! His passion for history, his vast knowledge and his storytelling skill made the three hour tour fly by! It was a cool day and Bruce thoughtfully brought us indoors for part of the tour, kept us in the sun if possible and and gave us a mid-tour break. He worked his magic to keep us engaged and interested by very capably weaving the historical landmarks, cast of characters and important action into memorable tales of our country’s founding fathers and their exploits!! I highly recommend this tour and give Bruce a perfect score!!!

Like Lin-Manuel Miranda’s play, this tour teaches and entertains in equal measure. Bruce guides the tour, and his love for American history and New York come through in the design of the day.

I highly recommend this tour, it’s the perfect afternoon adventure in lower Manhattan.

Bruce provides an excellent entertaining and informative tour. The fact that it was the second tour we’ve done with Bruce speaks for itself. We look forward to checking out his Central Park secrets.

We had the best time. My husband and I took our 10 year daughter on the Washington and Hamilton tour. We all had so much fun while learned so much about the revolution. I never really knew how important NYC and the surrounding cities were to the American revolution. Bruce is incredibly knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. I feel like the tour could have gone on another 3 hours with how much he knew.

I had the best time having your family on the tour! Like you, many are surprised by the role that New York City played in the American Revolution and its aftermath. Thanks for your compliments. I hope to see you all on the Central Park and Brooklyn tours. Thank you for taking the tour. Bruce

I just want say that of all the countries I've visited and tours I've taken this by far is one of the best!!! There's nothing like taking a tour and you can't wait to get home to further research what you've learned. Bruce is a great tour guide. Very detailed with his explanations of Central Park and it's great history. They offer a military discount for my military family too. I can truly say that our group was pleased with what we learned.

My husband and I took the Hamilton/ Washington tour the afternoon before we were to see the play. My big fear re Hamilton was missing a lot of the rap lyrics. So to prepare we listened to the whole play with lyrics. That allowed us to understand the words and to anticipate the events of the play.. I thought the tour might reinforce the story for us.

Instead, In 3 hours, Bruce gave us a masters class in American revolutionary history. It was a complete game changer. The show had a context and a depth for us it would never have had otherwise.

Beyond how this particular tour enhanced our experience, Bruce is one of the most enthusiastic, well spoken , knowledgeable guides we have ever had. He is so dedicated that he not only sends material after the tour, but my husband had a question he could not answer, so he researched it and sent that information to the group as well.

I did not take this tour that seriously when I booked it.

We do a lot of private and small group tours, This was about 20 people. But it felt completely intimate and Bruce answered every question.

I like headphones. Bruce doesn't use them. But even with jackhammers in the background, no matter where I was standing, I heard EVERY word. He is that clear and able to project.

We are history buffs and look for academics who also guide, Bruce is a professional tour guide. But he is as expert on this topic as any history professor. He has clearly read extensively.

We cannot wait to take our next tour with Bruce.

Thank you so much for your feedback on the Hamilton & Washington tour. I am very glad that the tour enhanced your experience of seeing the "Hamilton" musical. For the people who have seen it already or are going to see it, since the narrative of the tour follows the storyline of the musical, I hope the tour makes the history clearer and gives additional context. Thank you for your kind words. I hope to see you again on another tour. Bruce

Bruce Racond is an unexcelled tour guide. He weaves history with scenery, including well-known and hidden landmarks, in an exciting and humanistic manner during a three-hour walk through a portion of Brooklyn and over its famous Bridge. He welcomes questions from his guests and answers them with ease. Slices of history and architectural gems come to life during his commentary and pictorial annotations. My wife and I share fond memories of this delightful afternoon.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour with my daughter as we wandered off the popular paved trails of the northern part of Central Park and into a wilderness that I had no idea existed. I am from Austin, TX and had no idea before this visit that Central Park is a man-made creation born from two visionary designers. We learned so much about the history of the area on a beautiful fall day. Bruce was engaging and a fantastic host! This is such a cool way to see parts of the park you might never see otherwise.

We are New Yorker's and we thought we knew Central Park but this tour really did take us to some secret (and wonderful) places. Our tour guide, Bruce, was great. He was fun yet very professional and he knows his subject, he is very passion! The pace was perfect. We highly recommend this tour for everyone (young and old). Our group was mixed age and everyone had a wonderful time. Thanks to Bruce!!

We recently took a tour given by Revolutionary Tours entitled Hamilton & Washington: Secrets of the Past. It was wonderful! Our guide, Bruce, is a walking encyclopedia of lower Manhattan and its place in the history of this great nation. It was wonderful to listen to him talk about this period of time - his passion for the subject is contagious. I thought I knew a lot about this time period, but learned so much and to experience the topics in the places where it happened brought new insights to all of us. Cannot wait to take other tours given by this company. If you love history and are not familiar with NYC's place in the formation of our country, do not miss this tour!!
