Neighborhood: Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.

The Lotte Palace is perfectly located close to central park right off Madison Avenue. Rooms are large and facilities good. However, while the hotel is still in good order, it’s almost time for upkeep. Rooms and bathrooms are looking a bit outdated and the hotel is at risk of falling from grace.

I was travelling with friends to New York and when we arrived at the hotel our room was not ready. The customer service team were absolutely amazing and ended up upgrading us to an absolutely gorgeous suite! The staff at reception and concierge were exceptionally kind and helpful and the hotel was stunning and in a great location! 💕

We stayed here for 2 nights prior to taking a cruise at the recommendation of the Cruise Company. Next time, we will chose to stay elsewhere.
We were not provided with the instructions from the cruise company advising us when our luggage would be collected, so we were not ready when they knocked. These instructions also told us that breakfast was included on the last morning, but we didn't know so we had our breakfast outside.
There were no tea making facilities in the room and the only place in the hotel to have a cup of tea was in the dark and gloomy bar.
While we were waiting for the shuttle bus to take us to the cruise terminal, there were no enough places for us to sit, which left some elderly people standing for close to 30 minutes.
We had stayed at the Premier Inn at Heathrow the night before at a fraction of the price and much preferred their offerring

This is the second time I stayed here this year, first time I stayed a week.

Services here is disorganised and not worth the money. Management need to really sort it out it’s been slacking for too long.

Check-in - 6 receptionists, just me checking in. Groups of 2, 3 were talking to each other so I went to the one on his own. He barely looked up and coldly dismissed me saying he’s busy and someone else will help but no one noticed for a while. Even if you are chatting on your job you could have seen the guest standing there from your peripheral vision. Not a great manner start.

Went into my room got a fright as the cleaning lady was standing right in front of me when I opened the door. Room was it ready. I needed to freshen up before my next appointment. I asked her just to roughly finish up while I was in the room, very quick wipe down of the bathroom few sprays of chemicals. Hmmm. Found someone else pants in the closet which the cleaner took with her.

This next morning before 9am, 3 people tried to come in and 2 people called about the pants of the previous guest. I was barely out of the shower. First one knocked I told her to come back as i thought was cleaner so I told her I’m checking out later. 2 people called within minutes of each other, first hung up, I told the 2nd caller that the cleaning lady had already taken the pants the day before. Then two different men try to just open the door and come in within minutes of each other. I repeated the same thing again. I was barely dressed and upset they just barged in. The guy said he rang the bell - yup he did, my TV was on, he rang the bell and immediately opened the door yup that’s really ringing the bell. I could have been naked. Shouldn’t they have checked if the guest checked out first before repeatedly barging in? At least 4 different people came and called - I told them all the same same answer but none communicated w each other.

Please train your Staffan customer service, courtesy and how to communicate with each other and the guests.

The rooms are fine, spacious, dated, basic - no coffee/tea/water. Breakfast has gone done hill at the beautiful restaurant downstairs - burned double espresso flat white for 14 dollars, I don’t mind paying but terrible coffee. I didn’t complain as didn’t want a negative start to my day. American breakfast plus coffee was about 65 bucks.

I will not come back for the privilege of shoddy service at 400 dollars a night. Plenty of options in the area. No thanks

Disappointing! No coffee/tea in the room and they have the NERVE to charge for WIFI—$600-$1000 per night! Our toilet didn’t work well either. Good view of the Cathedral.

I have spent 5 nights at this Hotel, in the Towers, with my wife and my 10 year old daughter, and I am completely disappointed with it. First I am an alcoholic and requested the minibar to be empty and they did so, but at the end I was almost charged for wine, beer, vodka, purchases made at Dean and De Luca, etc. Second, my daughter slept with us in the same bed and they wanted to charge every single night for an extra bed which was never there. Third, they also wanted to charge for taxes, but when I booked i did it including the Taxes. Fourth, after 10 pm, we could hardly find someone working at the concierge or the reception of the Towers, which is the most exclusive area of the hotel. Bottom line, they reduced my bill in USD 800.00 !!! That Hotel is a complete disappointment. Do not stay there.

I love the experience in the hotel, and most of it, the assistance of Kit Lung. The most nice maid I never meet in my life. Thank you!

Stayed for 2 nights while attending a conference. The hotel is quite centrally located in the city. It hosts very famous guests from around the world and has residential apartments as well. The room was a decent size with a clean and neat bathroom. The drinks area downstairs is very darkened which helps with private conversations.
There is an outside area at the side entrance of the hotel which is so airy for those warmer days.
