Main Street Park is close to the East River and in the shadow of the Manhattan Bridge. It's a nice little park that has a play area for children as well as an area where your dog can run around.

Even though the city of New York has a massive park it is great that there are lots of little ones dotted about for citizens to enjoy.

We visited Main Street Park on our trip to NYC and the views of the south city skyline are great. Nice park by the water, lots of people walking around. We sat and ate our bagels here and it was just lovely. If you want that iconic photo of the Brooklyn Bridge or the Manhattan skyline, this is the place to take that photo. There is also a Carasel for the kids, and just a nice walking path throughout the whole park.

Highly recommended purely for the photo opportunity.

This was an awesome park to visit for great views of lower manhattan and the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. Wasn’t overly flooded with tourists like most attractions in NY.

Beautiful park overlooking the East River, in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, with a suggestive view of the two most famous bridges of New York and Lower Manhattan. The ideal place to sit on the grass and enjoy the magnificent view.
